How do I delete a downloaded theme on my BlackBerry Pearl 8130?

I downloaded a couple of new themes on my Pearl. Now I want to delete them. In my tutorial it states to go to themes, highlight the theme you would like to delete, click the menu key, click DELETE. I can follow all these simple steps but after I highlight the theme and click the menu key, the only options it list are HELP, DOWNLOAD THEME, RESET THEME DEFAULTS, SWITCH APPLICATIONS, and CLOSE. There is no option to DELETE. Please help! Thank you!

How to install blackberry themes?

THere are a couple ways to install a theme, the easiest way is OTA (Over the air) meaning you download direct to your device, the other way is to download and install using desktop software,

I suggest using the OTA method, for free themes a great resource is the crackberry forums, try searching on google "Crackberry Forums Free Themes Curve 8520" then all you need to do is click an OTA link, once downloaded to activate go to Options> Display> Theme>Select theme to activate

here are some links to find themes

Google (FREE) (this is a link to google search for free themes in crackberry forums)

Hello,

Checkout www.mobile9.com for Blackberry themes.

Connect your USB cable from your Blackberry to your PC or via Bluetooth if your PC is Bluetooth enabled. Then after you must have downloaded it to your PC, you can transfer it to your Blackberry.

What is the JUM Error 523 on the Blackberry Storm? It sometimes pops up and makes the screen white and it displays "JUM Error 523." You can then click "continue" and it seems okay, but I want to make sure...

Hi,
The BlackBerry smartphone displays the JVM 523 error message:

For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.1, this error may occur if a third-party browser channel icon has a HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) redirect.

OR

When a locked BlackBerry smartphone with content protection enabled receives a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) message, this error may occur. This error only occurs with the Today themes in BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.2.

Download and install the latest version of BlackBerry® Device Software on the BlackBerry smartphone by following these steps:
  1. Download the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software from your wireless service provider's web site.
  2. Install BlackBerry Device Software on your BlackBerry smartphone.
BlackBerry Device Software version 4.1 (only)
If you are running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.1, you need to complete the following steps:
  1. Complete one of the following, depending on the network on which the BlackBerry smartphone is operating:
    • For BlackBerry smartphones operating on a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) network, contact your service provider and have the BlackBerry Internet Service Browsing deactivated.
    • For BlackBerry smartphones operating on a Global System for Mobile Communications® (GSM®), remove the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card from the BlackBerry smartphone.
  2. Perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry smartphone.
  3. Turn the wireless transceiver off.
  4. Click the Browser icon.
  5. Expand the Browser Channels folder.
  6. Highlight a third-party browser push channel.
  7. Display the menu and click Delete Channel.
  8. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for each third-party browser push channel.
  9. Complete one of the following, depending on the network on which the BlackBerry smartphone is operating:
    • For BlackBerry smartphones operating on a CDMA network, contact your wireless service provider and have the BlackBerry Internet Service Browsing activated.
    • For BlackBerry smartphones operating on a GSM network, reinsert the SIM card.
  10. Turn on the wireless transceiver.
  11. Register the BlackBerry smartphone on the wireless network.
  12. Subscribe to the third-party browser push channels again.
BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.2
Change the theme on the BlackBerry smartphone to one other than the Today theme by completing the following steps:
  1. From the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone, select Options.
  2. Select Theme.
  3. Select any theme that is not the Today theme.
  4. Display the menu and select Activate.
I Hope it helped you.

Texts and call logs deletes themselves every couple minutes

This is a known software issue on the Pearl, which can be fixed with a software update. You can download the latest software (currently the 4.5 software) from either www.blackberry.com or www.vzam.net/blackberry
