My suggestion is you made a wiring error. Does the furnace come on when you turn the thermostat DOWN?
Re-check your wiring. The AUTO-MAN switch for the fan only switches the fan on, leave it in auto.

SOURCE: honeywell rth230b won't shut off heat

Sounds like a relay sticking. Possibly in the thermostat or possibly the furnace relay at the furnace. The next time it happens, unplug the thermostat from the wall. If the furnace still runs then it's the furnace relay.

Hope that helps...

?? Connect Wires 5.

Labels don't match?

If a wire does not match any terminal on the thermostat,

see next page.

Quick Installation Guide

6

Alternate Wiring

If a labeled wire does not match any terminal

designation, see diagram below.

Do not use C, C1 or X wire. Do not use B wire if you already

have O wire. Wrap bare end of wire with electrical tape.

This thermostat cannot be used if your old thermostat had

any two of the following wires: R, RC, RH, 4 and V.

Place a jumper (piece of wire) between Y and W if you have

a heat pump without auxiliary/back-up heat.

?? Connect Wires (cont'd)

Programmable Thermostat RTH2300

7

Set jumper JP1, on the back of the thermostat, if you

have connected a wire to the G terminal.

Incorrect jumper setting: An incorrect setting is

noticeable in a gas or oil heating system. When heating

starts, you will initially feel cold air coming out of the vents

as the fan is running before the furnace has enough time

to heat up the air.

?? Set Heating Fan Control 6.

HG Leave the jumper in this factory-set

position if you have a gas or oil furnace.

HE Place the jumper to this position if you

have an electric furnace.

Set jumper JP2, on the back of the thermostat, if you

have a heat pump.

Incorrect jumper setting: The heat pump operation

will be reversed, i.e., it will cool in Heat mode and will

heat in Cool mode.

?? Set Heat Pump Reversing Valve 7.

O Leave the jumper in this factory-set

position if you have connected O wire to

the O/B terminal.

B Place the jumper to this position if you

have connected B wire to the O/B terminal.

1) Install 2 AAA

batteries on the

back of the

thermostat.

2) Align the two

brackets on the

top of the

thermostat with

the corresponding

slots on the top of

the wallplate.

3) Push the

thermostat

against the

wallplate.

4) Tighten the screw

at the bottom of

the thermostat.

5) Turn power back

on at the heating/

cooling system.

SOURCE: My furnace works intermittently.

You may have a dirty flame sensor. There are a number of other possible causes as well. Rheem/Ruud/Weatherking furnaces also have problems with the connection on the blower deck.
The flame sensor sometimes must be bypassed around the MOLEX CONNECTOR in the deck due to humidity.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: switching thermostat from farenheit to celsius

My thermostat was set on celsius and couldn't get it to change back to fahrenheit. My son suggested pressing both up and down arrow buttons at the same time and it worked. It changed back to fahrenheit.

Honeywell ct3200 thermostat won't turn on

DON'T BUY A NEW ONE JUST YET! IF THE BATTERIES DIED & THERMOSTA LOST POWER, IT MAY HAVE LOST IT'S MEMORY. IT MOST LIKELY WENT BACK TO FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS, & NEEDS TO BE RE-PROGRAMMED THROUGH THE INSTALLER SET-UP MENU. HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE THE PAPERWORK FOR THE THERMOSTAT STILL & CAN POSSIBLY DO THE SET-UP YOURSELF. IT SHOULD HAVE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS IN THE INSTALLATION GUIDE (NOT THE OWNERS MANUAL)

Heat won't come on. My hvac system worked fine throughout the summer but now that it's getting cool the heat won't come on. I have a Hunter digital, programable thermostat. I reset and...

if you have an electrical meter this is how to test for bad t-stat heating relay. (this is for the most typical furnace setup in a typical home)
first you will need to find and do several things at the furnace.
find the MAIN furnace switch and turn off. switch should be mounted outside of furnace on either side of furnace cabinet. remove both furnace doors. find the electrical circuit board, it will be the square thing that almost all wires go to or come from. find the 24v (t-stat) connection screws on the circuit board. they should a row of small phillips screws, and there should be a minimum of 5 screws in a row. the screws will be labeled as follows (not in certain order) R W Y G C . The screws you will be concerned with are R, W, and C. If there is not a C screw you will substitute the C screw for a unpainted part of the furnace cabinet in your testing. The last thing to find is the door switch which should be mounted behind the lower door. It is mounted so when the door is attached the switch is depressed. Use some tape or something to depress the switch without the door on. you will not have enough hand to do it manually during testing. get your electrical meter and your ready to test. always remember that if the Main furnace switch is turned on any of the electrical connections, motors, etc. inside the furnace could be energized at any time.

step 1 : with main furnace switch on, both furnace doors removed, and door switch depressed go to your thermostat and turn a minimum of 5 degrees higher than ambient. if t-stat isnt on then something you did is wrong. check switches.

2: with newer t-stats there can be a delay. so wait 5 minutes then go to furnace.

3: put electrical meter in AC and in correct range if you have a cheapo meter. you will be reading 24v so correct range is the closest to 24v but must be above 24v. take your leads and put one on circuit board screw labeled R, other lead on C. you should read 24v or similar. minimum voltage should be about 22v. anything less than 20v there is a problem far before your thermostat. if you read 24v move on.

4: take your leads and put them on the W screw (heat) and C screw (common24v). You also should read 24v. If you get a reading less than 20v or no reading at all then you either have a bad thermostat or bad thermostat wire.

Hunter 44110 programmable thermostat not turning off ac

You may and an anolog stat and the old one was digital if so it won't work. Digital sends info to system anolog is just a set of points open or closed. Digital can carry tons of info to system like a computer. Like comparing a computer to a rock. Sorry but you need to go back to proper type stat.

My honey well thermostat keep clicking and I can't program it

If you have a programmable thermostat and it is a couple of years old you will probably have to install a new one. What kind of thermostat do you have? You can turn power off to furnace and then take thermostat off wall and take wires marked r & w and connect them together your heat should come on when you turn power back on. If not you could have blown the 5 amp fuse inside furnace. I would check the fuse inside of furnace. If you take panels off front of furnace you should find a controll board inside that runs furnace. If you have anymore question just reply back to me
