Lost my Nokia N70 data cable. How do I download stuff from my PC
I have misplaced/lost my Nokia N70 data cable. Now I would like to know if there is any alternative available to buying a new cable - for downloading music etc from my computer onto cell?

You need to have a USB cable that comes with your nokia n70 package. If you have lost it you have to buy another one from the market showing your mobile set. One end is connected with your mobile phone and the other end is inserted in a USB port of your PC and you can have an interchange of data between your mobile and PC (for example you can save all your mobile contacts in the PC for backup in case you lose your mobile set). Its that simple!
there is a possibility that the cable is damaged or the phone port is damaged slightly in the data port. I was going to tell you to download drivers but it seems that it was working before so its either 3 things, computer, cable or phone. 92% of the time its the cable, just try another one. Fist you should have Nokia PC Suit installed in your PC. Connect N70 using DKU-2 data cable. There is no need to install any drivers for data cable or phone PC suit has it all..

But hoping for the best just go to your messages- settings-others-memory in use and select phone memory. its actually not possible for restoring the phone just playing with it or pressing buttons . it seems like his curiosity killed the cat. all my condolences with you.

Nokia itself approves DKU-2 as th e needed cable for nokia n70 . i think the pc suite you r suing is too ols as it cant detect n 70 . plese doenlaod latest pc suite from nokia website
