Creative Zen nano plus write file delayed

My creative zen nano plus 1GB bought 6 months back, when connected to the comp it hangs...then after long time it gives an error message that write file delayed in F:. I didn't even try to write any file...the right click also hangs the computer after long time again it gives the same error...so i'm not able to format it also...I am able to play the music which is in the player but am not able to transfer files from comp...even in linux it says this volume cannot be mounted...so it is not a virus according to my knowledge...please help me...

i was trying to download a firmware to my zen nano plus. Then, the program ask me to format the device, I followed the instruction, but later the device disfunctioned.

i am facing the same problem of 'delayed write failed and not able to communicate with computer and hence cannot erase/copy new mp3 files. though the FM radio works, some of the earlier songs copied are working (except corrupted ones). now when it is not atall communicating with computer, how can i update/format firmware?

first download the firmware update from creativehttp://support.creative.com/downloads/do...
then run the program plug in your nano plus while holding down the power button it will show up as stmp3500 the driver if asked for it is located in your c:\windows\system32 folder
the firmware update program will find the nano plus and eventually update the firmware and bam it works mine was broken for over 2 years and this fixed it awesome.....

Zen Stone not recognised in XP

There is a problem with the Zen Stone family.. I had the same problem.

U can proberly not turn on the player while it's not been recognized in WinXP ?? ( I mean when U plug it out).

Send it to Creative and they'll switch it.

Mp3 won't turn on

I do have the same problem. When i turn it on ti would simply turn 'ON' and on the screen it would write CREATIVE, and nothing could be done. no buttons work at all! please help!!

There is a setting, I think, under Photo/video settings. VideoOut - set that to OFF or change it. The screen will stay on.

I`ve had the same problem twice, it seems the player erases the whole firmware when this happens. You can fix this by plugging it to your computer in recovery mode, this will allow you to reinstall firmware.(Search google for zen nano plus recovery mode to find instructions.)

The way to fix it is, on your PC, you make folders on the Zen Nano drive. Title those folders as you want. Then you put all of the audio into those folders. And hopefully when you turn on the device, the audio will be in folders. Good luck.

Creative Zen Nano Plus FROZEN!!!

here is a fix if your creative zen nano plus just hang on the creative logo when you turn your player on.
download, Creative ZEN Nano Plus firmware.
you can find it at the creative website, download section.
double click the file you just dl'ed, now make sure your
zen nano player is already connected to your pc when you run the file. it may take a bit of time before your pc can detect your zen nano be patient, a window prompt will soon appear asking if you want to update your firmware with the one youve just dl'ed.
now, dont worry if the firmware is the same as the one already
installed in your zen nano, just continue with the update.
you can also check the box in which there is the option of also formatting the drive. ( note: all files in your zen nano will be lost)
after the firmware is flashed you can now play and transfer files to your zen nano plus.
