While using the 3com central configuration manager software, I can discover 3com network jacks successfully.
When I open up the Property UI for the network jack, it gives me a "Error Response from Device" error and all 4 ports show as N/A across all fields. When it does this, I can manually click the ports and set them again (they go defaulted to disabled/half-duplex/10Mbps on each port). What is going on with my software that is causing this?
I'm also unable to load valid configuration files to blanket-reconfigure the 3com from known settings. I get "Error loading configuration file" on that screen. Please help.
The default IP address of the device, depends on the status of the network where the device resides, but if the device is not connected to the network, or no DHCP server exists in the subnet where the device resides, you can get the default IP address of the device on the label on the right of the device rear panel.
