I turn the t.v. on and the screen just stays black. The welcome screen wont even come on. After a second you can hear the volume. Then after a min the t.v. will just shut off. The light stays green the entire time. When the t.v. shuts off it turns red and stays red.
Send me a email [email protected] and I will send you the info to retreve the error code to find out why the set is shutting down. Be sure to include the moodle number and symptoms with your email
SOURCE: Lamp Light Red - No Screen Image
It could be the a problem with the lamp ballist circuit, or just a bad lamp socket, or simply a bad lamp. The only way to tell is to call out a servicer as that would be alot less expensive then to get a new lamp and then that not be the problem. These problems can be a little hair pulling at times, thats why i have no hair left!! LOL Good Luck
SOURCE: Projection TV keeps shutting down
I just took my Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" in to be repaired for the same problem and was told that it needed a new main circuit board part number 930b899005 as was told they wanted to charge me $1100.00. So I told them not to do the repair and picked up my tv and found that same part at Sears parts for only $225.00. Some of these TV repair places are theifs.
SOURCE: please help with tv! green blinking light wont stop and tv wont turn on
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the
set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and
Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
please post your error code
SOURCE: mitsubishi DLP overheating
Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.
