The iPod 4G (fourth generation) is easy to restore to factory settings. This may reinstall the software, and it always wipes all music, video and other data from the iPod. Restoring is the most effective way to fix problems with the iPod that haven't been fixed through traditional troubleshooting. You will not be able to retrieve data from your iPod 4G once it's restored, so make sure you back up your information first.

Plug your iPod 4G into your computer with its dock connector USB cable. Install the most recent version of iTunes and open iTunes. Wait a moment for your iPod to appear in the side bar. Click on your iPod in the side bar and select "Restore." A pop-up window will ask if you're sure you want to clear your iPod and restore to factory settings. Click "Continue" and enter your password, if prompted. Leave the iPod untouched and on a flat surface while it restores to original settings. It's important that you don't try to disconnect or use the iPod while it's restoring. You'll see a progress bar either on the iPod or your computer that indicates how far along the process is. Select your new syncing settings (automatic sync or manual) when prompted after the restore is complete.

SOURCE: iPod Touch, 1st gen, "slide to unlock" broken

If you jailbreak (quickpwn.com) there is an app on cydia that will change it to tap to unlock rather than slide so it should be more sensitive.

SOURCE: Ipod Nano 4th gen LCD backlight not working

Its definitely the logic board (motherboard) that has gone bad. Its not the actual screen nor LCD. Its the logic board. You could replace the screen with a new onje and the backlight still will not work. Nano's are known for this but of course apple won't admit to putting out a piece of **** logic board in all of the nano's or they would have to recall 10 million of them! So, they just play stupid and say your nano is out of warranty but we'll give you a 10% trade in discount. What a joke! I know this because i used to work for Apple ;-) They screw customers left and right to keep their profits up.

Can I upgrade my ipod touch from ios version 4.3.5 to ios version 6.1.5

depends on the specific iPod touch model you have....
there are 5 generations of iPod touch!
- for instance the iPod touch 3rd gen. can install only iOS 5.1.1 whereas the iPod touch 4th gen. can use iOS 6.1.6 as the latest iOS.

I forget my passcode to get into my ipod touch

After a series of more failed attempts, your iPod displays the same "iPod is Disabled" message, but with an added "Connect to iTunes" message. At this point, your iPod shuts down completely and you cannot make any more attempts to enter the passcode. In order to restore the device at this stage, you need to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed. Ideally, connect it to a computer that you've used before for syncing your iPod.

My ipod touch [4th generation] screen is stuck on the usb cord pointing toward the itunes logo

The solution is: 1. Turn of your iPod. 2. While holding down the 'Home' button, connect to iTunes WARNING: Doing this will return your iPod back to original 'out of the box' settings and you will lose everything. On the bright side, you get a 'fresh' start and it will auto update to the most recent software version.

How can I use JVC AVX810 with Iphone? Currently IPOD works fine with the USB cable but IPHONE is not recognised. Maybe there is an adaptor that can solve it?

JVC KS-PD100 iPod Interface Adapter (257KSPD100, sold separately). This optional iPod Interface Adapter supports audio playback for the following iPod models - iPod click-wheel (3rd gen), iPod photo (4th gen), iPod mini (1st/2nd gen), iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen), iPod video (5th gen), and iPod classic (80/120/160GB). The KS-PD100 is not compatible with the iPod touch (1st/2nd/3rd gen), iPod nano (5th gen), or iPhone (2G/3G/3GS). This iPod interface will also not charge the iPod nano (4th generation). *Apple firmware updates may change functionality results.
