DVD player plays 10 minutes and then freezes screen.

You may have a problem with the transport of the dvd laser. Open the compartment that you place the dvd into. You will see the spindle,the laser lens and the transport device that moves it during operation. The transport system operates on system of gears and drive rails. You must check and clean the drive rails and gears. Use a can of compressed air and blow all the dust and debris from the dvd compartment.
