Wrong region code

I have a HP Pavillion DV6000 with Pioneer DVD±RW DVR-K17B ATA device when i try to watch a dvd it comes up with wrong region code but wont allow me to change the code it says your driver will let you change region code 0 times "device manager and then right click on properties, and then there should be a seciton on region code."

A region code is a digital rights management (DRM) technique that directly gives control to film distributors in aspects relating to film release such as content, release date and pricing according to region or country.

Although it's annoying. But you can make use of some region-free blu ray player to skip the restriction of region code. Here is a free region free blu ray player which you can used as free blu ray player and region free player.

You can get a region free Blu-ray player on your PC and then you can play Blu-ray and DVD discs from any regions. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a free Blu-ray player and a region free player.

How do I make my DVD drive region free (remove region codes/country codes/zone locks)?
Use DVD43(freeware) or AnyDVD or DVD Region-Free to make your region locked DVD drive and your software player region free. You can also "patch" your DVD drives firmware, you find patched DVD drives firmwares here (freeware but it may be a bit tricky and "dangerous").

How do I make WinDVD,PowerDVD,Win2k region free?
Use DVD43(freeware) or AnyDVD or DVD Region-Free to make your software player region free. Or use DVD Genie(freeware) to make your software DVD Player region free.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Hello i'm having HP PAVILLION DV6000 and OS is

You first remove that device from device manager.
Then restart the pc.
You may check the BIOS menu for that device for any clarification.
After restart since u have removed it the OS will detect the device and install it automatically.
Hope this helped.
