Hidear t.v comes on and off since installing netflix on Wii on a different tv

The picutre and sound go off and on together. It started after we installed netflix on a WiU. TV is slightly over a year old. Called the number for warranty, they said that that company was going to buy Hidear but didn't, so they are not responsible. Any idea what could be causing the problem? Very frustrating!

SOURCE: Green screen with sound from cable, but picture is fine with Wii

That would be my solution. The trouble is either in the box or your connecting cables. Verify this by connecting the cable directly to the set. Then try a new set of connecting cables, or call the cable provider to replace the box.

SOURCE: I have coloured vertical lines covering my Sony

I also have a 2 yr old Sony KDL32xbr4 that now has multi-colored vertical lines on the screen. I contacted Sony and they say they have "no known issue" of this sort for this model. I find this rather puzzling since I have found numerous postings on the web. They told me to try the factory reset. Whatever. Might as well have said "don't buy a Sony". 2 years! $1300 for a tv and it lasts 2 years! Makes me sick to my stomach.

What equipment do I need to use netflix

There are multiple ways to watch Netflix:
- Watch on your laptop or tablet.
- Connect a laptop to your TV. Cost you only a cable.
- SmartTV with Netflix app. Most brands have that nowadays.
- Chromecast: if you have an Android phone/tablet you can send the screen to your TV.
For iPhone / iPad you will need AppleTV, but that costs a lot more.
- TV with an Andriod mediabox with the Netflix app installed. ROKU for instance.
- Via a Game console: Playstations / XBOX / Wii can install the Netflix app.

Further needed:
- internet connection.
- Netflix account. It is possible to use 1 account on 4 devices. My son has several friends who together pay the Netflix subscription fee.
The most expensive plan allows for up to 4 screens watching different programs.
Here is some info to set it all up:

Good luck trying!!

Cant connect my Wii to the internet for net flix viewing

Netflix has come a long way since 1997.
What began as a disc-based mail-order rental service has become one of the pioneers of digital distribution.
Netflix's digital distribution service offers thousands of movies and televisions shows that users can watch instantly from a variety of devices, such as the iPhone, PC and the Nintendo Wii.
Netflix is not available immediately on your Wii when you first turn it on; you must download the program from Nintendo's Wii Shop before you can begin using it.

Select the "Wii Shop" channel on the Wii's main menu and choose "Start."
Select "Start Shopping" and choose "Wii Channels."

Select "Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii."
Select "Free 0 Wii Points" to begin the download.
Choose the location where you will save Netflix.
You can select either the Wii System Memory or an SD card.

Select "OK" and select "Yes."
Your download will begin, and a Netflix channel will appear on the Wii's main menu.

Select the "Netflix" channel, located on the Wii's main menu, and choose "Start" to launch Netflix. The first-time setup screen will appear.
Select "Yes" to indicate you are a current Netflix subscriber.
If you are not, you cannot use the service until you sign up at the Netflix website.

Enter your Netflix email address and password. Select "Continue."
Select a television show or movie in any category to begin watching it instantly.

How do you set up netflix on your Panasoni TH-42PZ85U?

Hello

Currently, all three video game consoles on the market are compatible with Netflix "Watch Instantly:" Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. All you will have to do is download a free application for your console. Playstation 3 users can find this application on the Playstation Network and Wii However, Xbox 360 users will have to pay a yearly Xbox Live subscription to access Netflix's video stream.

Many new models of high-definition Blu-Ray disc players already have Netflix applications. Several different manufacturers include this application, from high-end brands like Philips and Panasonic to generic brands like Vizio and Insignia. These players often include other popular internet applications, such as Facebook and Pandora Internet Radio. Also, new TiVo digital video recorder models have a built-in Netflix application.

Select HDTV models already have a Netflix "Watch Instantly" player as a pre-installed application. All you will have to do is run the Netflix application from the TV menu screen and you will be able to watch streaming Netflix movies and TV. Brands that have been including Netflix on their HDTVs as of 2011 include Sony, Sanyo, Panasonic, Vizio and many others.

Several of the same companies that manufacture Netflix ready Blu-Ray players also have full surround sound home theater sets with the same features. Though Netflix Watch Instantly does not currently support surround sound audio, this feature will be implemented in the future. Brands that have been supporting Netflix in their home theater packages include Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Insignia, and Sony.

How can i instal netflix in mexico? i live in

If you go to netflix.com and login you will be able to click "your account and help" at the top right. Then you login with your WII and a code will come up. You enter that code into the website and netflix will be activated on your WII. You may have to use a VPN server that will make your WII look like its in the US but I'm not sure. You can google "VPN servers" and find several. Good luck :-)

Wii freezes when trying to search 4 movies only thru netflix

Delete the Netflix software from your Wii then restart the Wii.
Then download the Netflix software again and try searching.

It sounds like a the program data got corrupted so a re-install of the Netflix software should resolve this.

Connect your Wii console to your Netflix account
Before you can watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix, you will need to connect your Wii console to your Netflix account.

  1. On your Wii
If you're not already on this screen on your television, select Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii from the Wii menu. (Don't have this option?) On this screen you will be presented with a code; remain on this screen during the activation process.
      wii_activate_003.png

  2. On your home computer
Using an online device other than your Wii console - such as a PC, Mac, or Web-enabled phone - go to http://www.netflix.com/wii. (You will need to log into your Netflix account if you're not already logged in.)
  3. Still on your home computer
Enter the code displayed on your television into the box on the bottom Netflix Web page, then click "Activate Now." (The code is case sensitive.)

  4. Back to your Wii
Netflix will now attempt to activate the connection to your Wii console. This may take several minutes. When the process is complete, the Wii will automatically display your queue. (The screen on your computer will not change. Wait for the screen displayed by the Wii on your TV to indicate the activation has finished before going to another Web page.)

  5. And finally, watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix on your Wii console by selecting the Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii on the Wii main menu.

We got our DVD today which enables us to watch Netflix on our TV, by installing the DVD through our Wii. Is there an issue with the DVD's that went out, because we a re unable to install and access...

Are you sure that the disc is for the wii? Wii netflix service isn't supposed to be available yet; perhaps you have an install disc that is only for certain DVD players.
