SOURCE: Washing Carseat Fabric

Hi,
You may have solved this problem already, but I had a similiar situation. If you can remove the round hard plastic fasteners that the straps pass through, it really is not too difficult to take the pad off. They are just clips that push against the hard plastic back of the seat to hold the straps in place. To remove them, I just took a flat head screw driver and placed it against the long side of the fastener and pushed up and toward the center of the fastener. I did this for both sides of the fastener and it popped right out. The straps then just unhook from the back and thread through to the front. Make sure to note how the straps are placed so that they can be replaced correctly. The pad washed up very nicely for me. I used warm water and regular detergent. I let it dry in the sun. Hope that this helps.

I need to clean a child's sickness from the base of my Toby. How do I seperate it?

Hi

It isn't recommended that you take apart the plastic shell of the carseat. You can remove the fabric from the carseat to wash it and then clean the shell with warm soapy water but it is not advisable to remove the harness or to take apart the factory seal of the shell.

Have a look at www.maxi-cosi.com and select the country you're in, then choose the Tobi carseat and select the instructions to view directions on how to remove the fabric.

Have you got a image of how to put maxi cosi back toteaer onced washed

Good Afternoon

When the fabric is removed for washing it should not be overly complicated to replace the fabric after washing. The only instructions for removing the fabric can be followed in reverse order to put the fabric back on can be viewed on the Facebook page under Dorel UK Customer Services.

If the harness has been pulled out of the seat it will need to be replaced by the engineers due to the safety implications of it being put back incorrectly. To organise this please contact the customer service team on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30.

Hi i have got a maxi cosi cabriofix car baby car seat and cannot seem to remove the cover at the bottom where the grey circle is how do i do this and can i was the cover in the washing machine once...

Good Morning

The grey tensioner strap appears to be stitched in place but it isn't. Follow it around under the bottom of the carseat and the strap is in a piece of plastic catch shaped like an H on it's side. Wiggle one way then the other to unhook from this catch, and the carseat fabric can be removed (where the grey circle part is the fabric is tucked underneath slightly, once you've unhooked the tensioner strap you'll be able to get the fabric off easily).

Hand washing is recommended, but if you have delicate or handwash cycle on machine this is also suitable. Use a mild detergent and maximum temp 30 degrees for washing. Do not tumble dry: Do not leave in direct sunlight to dry. Ensure fabric is completely dry before putting it back on for use as damp fabrics may result in mould or mildew growth.

Remember never remove the harness straps from the carseat, the fabrics can be completely removed while the harness remains in place!

How to take the cloth off the seat to wash it

Although I must ada that it's very complicated... If you unscrap the cloth from the top bar, and push the fabric back, there is a prong that you must push in to seperate the bar, from there you can take the fabric off (you will need a small screw driver). AS far as the seat, turn the jumper up-side down and ppush the seat out.... It takes less than 5 minutes to take fabric off but almost 45 minutes to replace after washing, (but it's a must to keep germs away)... :)

I'm having trouble removing the fabrics to wash,I'm guessing they come off. Does the hood fabric come off too??

Good Evening

The sun canopy is removable from the chassis, but you can't take the fabric out of the framework. You'll need to clean any marks with mild detergent and a sponge, it isn't suitable to put it through the washing machine.
The Zapp seat fabric slides out of the chassis - it's a bit fiddly if you've never done it before, so allow yourself some time to do it. I need to clean fabric does it come away from seat

Good Evening

The fabric on all Maxi Cosi carseats can be removed for cleaning purposes.

Instructions for removing the fabric can be found in your user manual. If you no longer have your user manual you can download another copy at www.maxi-cosi.com Select the CabrioFix carseat as your model and you will see a tab over the image to download a copy of the manual it has a step by step guide in here for how to remove the fabrics to clean them.

It is recommended that fabrics are sponge washed by hand and dried naturally. Use a mild detergent suitable for hand washing and ensure it is thoroughly rinsed. To prevent discolouration of the fabric do not leave it to dry in direct sunlight. The fabric should not be tumble dried as this may cause unsightly bobbling.

If you are talking about the base seat fabric, before you put the seat fabric in the washing machine remove the wooden and foam piece from inside the seat and then throw it in on cold with a gentle cycle. DO NOT put it in the dryer. Hang it to dry. Mine came out great like this. If you are talking about the tailed fabric that goes over the base seat fabric, then just remove the cover and put it in the washer - again NO dryer.
