Hi my name is joyce
you have to many suds in machin's pump you have to reduce the amount of suds that are in pump, use 1 tsp of oil where you put your powders and run cycle with no clothers in washer, this will get rid of the suds. first unplug washer from wall for 60 secounds and replug back up. set for normal wash and use the oil only. if this does not work you will have to call service tech. remember to always use he detergent it is low sudsing. all front loaders need this detergent.

thanks

Joyce

Everytime I start the washer it pauses halfway through the cycle why is that

If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design. Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly
If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design. Water Inlet Valve
If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.
Main Control Board
If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.
Timer
If the washer stops mid cycle the timer might be defective. This part is often misdiagnosed, check other components before replacing this timer

Kenmore elite dishwasher stops mid cycle

I assume you mean it stopped in mid cycle and is now dead. If this is the case you will need to turn off the power to the dishwasher and remove the screws holding the front control panel There is a thermal fuse clipped to the front of the control panel Check it using an ohmmeter or continuity tester If it is open you will need to replace it with a kit containing the fuse and wire connectors Do not replace just the thermal fuse the problem will surely return. Also inspect the control board for burned areas. If the control board is burned you should replace the wiring harness with the control assembly

Why would it stop mid cycle? You can hear the engine trying to start.

It is not the engine but the motor that makes the noise. perhaps it can be a mechanical issue that stops the machine at mid cycle due to friction on the drive or it can be due to faulty control panel or even a dirty/ clogged drain pump.
