Delay Hi there. I'm a new Cubase user with very basic recording software knowledge. I started messing around and trying to get input from my Behringer (UB1202FX) board into my comp, which I was able to do successfully. However there seems to be a slight delay in the signal. Example: I record two guitar tracks, and the 2nd track is just slightly out of sync with the first one (No I did not play it that way hahahah) I would assume this has something to do with my computer's soundcard (Currently using a basic onboard device Not a card, however I do have a Creative Sound blaster audigy card that could be installed). If not that my next guess would be my drivers, that being said with my limited experience, I'm really not sure. I'm running my Behringer board to my comp via an RCA to eighth inch adaptor cable, could this be the problem as well? Thanks!!

no not quite. It's more of a delay in the signal reaching my computer it seems. So when I try to record track 2 it seems to sound ok, but then on playback. Track 2 is out of sync with track 1.

This could be caused by latency. There could be a slight difference between what you are hearing during recording and on playback. Try installing the other soundcard. The onboard device could be the cause of the delay.

If i understand it right, you recorded for example 2 tracks. recorded A then recorded B then you synced them together? if so, my bet would be adjusting the volume for each giving them balance. your master volume is your guide on this. hope this works.

I need to sync my snowball into cubase sx... its only recording on the left input not the right input of the audio wave. please help get back to work.

This is strictly a software setup problem. I use Sonar, but Cubase has to have the same features. Look for a PAN control and also where you MIGHT be able to select that both channels of the stereo are mapped to the single input. A work-around might be to bounce the input to a second track and then do a channel swap on one of the stereo channels, then combine them. I think Cubase uses the word "flip".
Search your documents for keywords: flip, bounce, swap, pan, and assign input. You can also copy and paste the recorded channel to a second stereo blank channel before flipping it and combining.

Hi there. I'm using an H4 recorder with Cubase LE 4 on my PC and am suddenlt having problems using the device to record on my computer. In the Device Set Up dialogue box, whenever I try to switch...

There could be a few potential causes for the issue you're experiencing with your H4 recorder and Cubase LE 4. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the problem:
  1. Check the device driver: Make sure that the ZOOM H4 ASIO driver is properly installed on your computer. You may need to reinstall the driver if it has become corrupted or is not up to date.
  2. Make sure the device is connected: Ensure that the H4 recorder is properly connected to your computer and that the connection is secure.
  3. Restart the computer: Sometimes, simply restarting the computer can resolve issues with drivers or software.
  4. Check the Cubase LE 4 settings: Make sure that the H4 recorder is selected as the input and output device in Cubase LE 4's preferences.
  5. Check for updates: Check for updates for both Cubase LE 4 and the H4 recorder to ensure that you are using the latest version.
  6. Disable other audio devices: If you have other audio devices connected to your computer, try disabling them to see if that resolves the problem.
  7. Run Cubase LE 4 as administrator: Try running Cubase LE 4 as an administrator, by right-clicking on the Cubase icon and selecting "Run as administrator"
  8. Check for conflicts: Make sure that there are no other software running that may be conflicting with the H4 recorder and Cubase LE 4, such as other audio recording software or system services that may be using the audio driver.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact the manufacturer of the H4 recorder or Cubase LE 4 for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or offer a solution to the problem.

Hallo i have cubase sx3 I can get my backing music onto track one via importing it from docs - no problem - how do i increase the volume on record as the tracks from vocals dont come out loud at all ,...

You must adjust the record level from the input device - i.e. mixer or soundcard. There is no input level control within Cubase. It is often the case, however that the problem lies with the backing track being too loud.

Cubase shuts down every time I try to process a recorded file

Hi Melimiti,
You are not the only one with this problem. Cubase is quite a complicate software. If reinstalling does not help we need to have a CLEAN Install on a new OS. If the problem still persist contact the vendor for the product exchange.

Zoom H4, Won't upload to Cubase Le.

Hi Ken,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble uploading the recordings from your Zoom H4 to the Cubase LE software. Have you tried connecting the Zoom H4 to your computer via USB and then importing the recordings directly into the Cubase LE program? You may also want to make sure that you have the latest version of the software installed on your computer, as well as the latest drivers for the Zoom H4. If you are still having difficulty, please don't hesitate to contact the Zoom or Cubase support teams for further assistance. I hope this helps!

Tascam us 144 sync problems with cubase le

Hey lea,

i have a similar setup (Cubase LE & Tascam 144) and each time i start up Cubase i have to make sure there is no digital input going to the tascam. once cubase is started up but no project loaded i plug in my spdif from my DAT machine and then open my project and all is fine. does that answer part of your question?

i have a different problem though, i'm trying to record my DAT tapes which are recorded at 32khz and cubase doesn't recognize that sample rate properly. it'll record no problem, and play them back fine, but exporting always creates mismatched sample rates in the exported file. sucks big time and i have got no idea on how to fix it either.
