Call duty world at war wont load

Bought game at xmas, worked perfect till last week, wont load now,trys then makes funny noise.. went out bought new copy, same thing happened, rest of me games work perfect...

    Exactly the same problem with PS3 World at War, read the advice, deleted saved data and ALLELUJIAH it worked!!! So THANK YOU for this advice- it worked. joolsg

I had the exact same problem (except there was no noise) and I bought a new copy and the same thing happened.  What I did was that I created a new account especially for call of duty world at war and it worked perfectly on that account.

Delete the game data off your console (not your saved game data) then load it up again maybe it's just the patch that isn't working properly

Have you tried un installing the drivers and downloading the latest ones.
If this is no help, maybe google the exact card model followed by COD problems. I have found lots of game related help on forums

Installation is not the problem. It's the thing that it is OLD game already as people are on Call of Duty 5. Anyway, you might want to download this patch and see if it does the job: http://www.gameupdates.org/details.php?id=2548

Call of duty world at war corrupted data
it might be the be the copy of call of duty 5 you have got it happend to me but i traded my old call of duty in and bought a new 1 and it worked fine hope this helped

Call of duty won't load * world at war ps3
Your guys answers ****!! Do not delete the game data that is stupid and only works for a handful of people.1. Log off of your playstation account.2. Load the game ( it should now load fine while not being logged onto PSN)3. When reaching the start menu do not press start!!!!4. Tap the home button and log onto your account.5. After logged on tap the button again and the game will run fine.

Everything works just wont load c.o.d 5 world at war.
it sounds like a bad disc drive if under warranty sony wil fix if not u can find someone who can do it
