The reason you need to press the print button is because of the mismatch between the two paper sizes, this is normal. Find the manual and follow the instruction on how to change the paper size on the printer, or change the paper size in your software. Either should work. They must be the same for it to work properly.

SOURCE: my hp laserjet 4 plus printer cannot print excel files

wherer are you printing this, A4 is european, north america would use letter, etc..
if you go to control panel, open the printers and faxes folder, right click the printer in question, a window will pop up, click on properties.. a new window should open. click on "Printing Defaults" or "Printing Preferences" then click on "Advanced" ( I believe it should be to the lower left) that will open another window, in paper size make it Letter if your in N America, A4 for Euro.. this will set the deafult print..
Click ok, then print a test page from the general tab..

The reason you getting this LOAD LETTER message. your excel page setup is set to print to letter, your machine is set to print top A4

If you open Excel then go to Print then a window should pop up where you select the printer you want to use, click on Properties, then Lay out, then Advanced, and input the correct paper size before you print.

does this happen with all excels files, or one particular?
Create a new Excel file, and try printing it.. possibly could be in that particular file. I have seen this happen alott particulary with PDF files.. Where the incorrect paper size is in the file..

SOURCE: My HP P2035N LaserJet is saying it's "offline"

Offline means that the computer thinks the printer is not available. The problem is that some how, that option in the printer menu has been checked. "use printer offline" is the choice that has probably been checked. Some times this will happen after a communication or paper problem has occcured.

To get to this menu, go to printers and faxes on the control panel. Find your printer icon and click on it.
A window wil appear and you will see file in the upper left corner. Click on this and a drop down menu will appear. You should see the offline option here, and if there is a check mark in front of it, click on the check mark to remove it.

This should clear the problem.

SOURCE: I have hp3005d printer working

Right click on the printer driver icon and select properties. When the window opens, click on device settings tab at the top. Under device settings you will find a section labelled "installable options". Make it that it shows the duplexer installed. This is the most common reason that the duplexing will not function.

Hp color laserjet 2550l need driver for my mac

Sir/Madam

The latest HP printer driver for devices listed below are built into Mac OS X 10.6. You do not need to download or reinstall any HP software for full printing functionality.
HP LaserJet print drivers are included in Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD and also available via Apple Software Updates.

Please Visit official HP Printer website Below Link URL:
http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01844302-4%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken#N1000E

Snow Leopard - HP LaserJet printer setup instructions
  1. Upgrade install from Mac OS X v10.4, 10.5:
If updating a Mac using the Snow Leopard DVD, the install process should automatically detect your previous HP printer queue, delete, and then create a new HP printer queue using the latest HP printer drivers included in Snow Leopard.
USB printers:
  1. Make sure printer is turnedOnand connected.
  2. Open a document to print, and then choose File , Print .
  3. Open the Printer pop-up and choose your printer.
  4. If you don't see your printer, choose Add Printer , and then selectMore Printersbutton.
  5. In the Name column, select the printer, then clickAdd.
Network printers:
You can connect to HP printers on your local network that use Bonjour, IP, and Open Directory, as well as shared printers connected to an Apple Airport base station.
NOTE:Apple does NOT support AppleTalk in new Mac OS X 10.6.
  1. Choose File , Print .
  2. Open the Printer pop-up menu and choose your printer. It may be in the Nearby Printers submenu.
  3. If your printer does not appear, choose Add Printer from the Printer pop-up menu.
  4. A dialog appears listing any Bonjour, IP, shared, and Open Directory printers on your local network. It may take a minute or two for your printer to appear.
NOTE:On larger networks, outside the Bonjour link-local network, your printer may not show up in the list. You can connect to the printer using IP. An IP printer is a network printer that uses TCP/IP protocol (such as JetDirect, LPD/LPR, IPP) to communicate with your printer. You need to know the IP address or DNS name.

Your computer can usually detect whether a printer has special accessories installed, such as additional paper trays, duplex unit, or extra memory. If it can't, a dialog appears that lets you specify them. Make sure the settings in that dialog accurately reflect your printer's installed options to enable full functionality.

How to enter an IP address on a hp2035n

To install a HP printer (with built-in Jetdirect printserver) as a network printer you need to do the following -
1. Open the printer's menu and enablethe Network Card - these print servers use a static IP address therefore, configure the IP address of the network card so it matches the IP range of yournetwork. Eg. If your IP's are 192.168.0.*** then set the network card to a highnumber say 100. (This is to prevent a conflict with the router issuing the sameIP address to a computer on your network). Then set the Subnet Mask IP address to 255.255.255.0

What model of HP LaserJet do you have?
You will have to go into the configuration menu on the printer itself and set up the network connection.
I don't know what model you have, but here is a generic answer
Press the Menu Right until you find the HP MIO Menu - Select it. Next press the Item right button until you find the Cfg Network Card = No, - make it say yes by pushing the value right button, then push select to put an asterisk ( * ) next to it. Then press the item right button until you find Cfg TCP/IP = No, - make it say yes by pushing the value right button, then push select to put an asterisk ( * ) next to it. (assuming you are on a basic network) Last press the item right button and insert the following information.
IP Address: Not one already in use - generally 192.168.1.XXX (where XXX is some number between 2 - 253) Subnet Mask: generally 255.255.255.0 Gateway IP Address: Generally 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.1.254
Once you give it this information, print out the config page and it should be there. If this doesn't work, or you don't know how to find those numbers, I would be glad to help you further.
