No. The differences between SD and SDHC goes beyond what firmware can change. It's possible to design a device to use both SD and SDHC cards, but a device that was only designed for SD cards cannot use SDHC cards without hardware changes.

SOURCE: is there a firmware upgrade available to allow

No. There are hardware difference between the SD and SDHC specs that cannot be overcome by firmware changes. While SD cards will work in SDHC devices, there is nothing that can be done to make SDHC cards work in SD devices.

I know that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

Testimonial: "thanks for the info....I kind of knew that was the answer but at least won't spend inordinate time with trial and error"

SOURCE: SDHC Cards

Sorry, what you ask is impossible. SDHC compliant devices contain different hardware and no amount of firmware can overcome that limitation.

Check sd card

The V800 works with SD cards. Your new 16GB card is a SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work in this camera. You need to go with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

What capacity SD card can I use in my Samsung Digimax V800, I was told only 1GB is this true. Thanks

The manual only guarantees cards up to 1GB. However, SD cards go up to 2GB and such cards should work. Cards larger than 2GB are SDHC and will NOT work.

Is there a software upgrade so i can use a 4gb sdhc card

Upgrading from SD to SDHC is not a matter of firmware; it requires different hardware. No amount of firmware updates can allow an SD device to use SDHC cards.

What Memory Cards will work?

Hi,,

Unfortunately, the Pentax K100D is not SDHC compatible, which means that the camera can be equipped with a maximum memory capacity of 2GB.

It is also advisable to choose a fast version of the Secure Digital memory card, such as Ultra II or Extreme III by SanDisk. I would recommend using a memory card of at least 512MB, or even 1GB if you can.

Hope this info helps

4gb sandisk sdhc card

I think the C330 is not compatible with the SDHC cards.
The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

Click

But try an firmware upgrade.
Why download firmware version 1.07?
This firmware version improves memory card compatibility and provides general performance updates.

8GB SDHC Cards

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 1GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 1GB capacity.
