I have a panasonic NV-DS27 video camera. It is recording OK but when I come to
playing the tape back on the camera, it shows a blank screen and "play back
blank". Could you please let me know how to rectify this as it is causing me
great frustration.
I have the same problem, the camera works fine when is recording, but don't play the tape back on the camera. But I don't have any solution for it. I'll try to speak with the technical service.I have the same problem, the camera works fine when is recording, but don't play the tape back on the camera. But I don't have any solution for it. First guess is the camera has dirty heads. Suggestion is to run a head cleaner in your video camera. Regardless of the instructions on the head cleaner, I usually run the head-cleaner tape on "Play" for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then on "Record" another 10 to 15 seconds. Wait for 10 minutes before loading your playback tape. Try playing your tape again.
Also, check to be sure the tape is loaded properly and that the hatch closes securely and properly. A hastily loaded tape or an ill-fitting closure could cause the play function to stop. If this does not solve the issue, it may be something in the play switch or in the playback mechanism that requires repair services. If the problem continues, I would recommend calling the Panasonic Company and speak with Tech support or Video Camera Repair. They may be able to tell you and estimate of what it would cost for the repair.
I also have the same problem and after almost buying a replacement I thought I would try one time to get it to go.
What I did was start the cam without a tape in it, let it bring up the little red icon indicating no tape inserted, (it hadn't started flashing "PLEASE RE-OPERATE AFTER PUSHING RESET BUTTON" at this stage) then I inserted my tape. Hey presto, it works although for how long I don't know. I'll immediately start burn my tapes to disc while the going is good.
if that is happen and when you eject the tape there are some tape left...open the camera and unplugged the capstan motor wiring to the socket and put it back again....to make sure it last solder it to the circuit board..please don't attempt to do this if you are not a technician ok...
