Question about Durabrand PVS1966 Portable DVD Player
My player will not hold a charge. The power adapter is working properly because the player works when I have it pluged in. When it is not pluged in it will not turn on at all. I would like to possibly contact the manufacturer to find out how to get it repaired. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Thanks, Bruce
I have a PVS-1970, and it does not have a battery. It is for use in the car or in the house. It MUST be plugged in to a power source - NO BATTERY!

If you have a meter, check to see if there is voltage present at the battery charging terminal. If there is not, it is the charging circuit. It is also possible you battery is cycled out and therefore will not charge.

Hi,
I don't have a meter to get a direct measurement of the voltage at the battery charging terminal. It does seem as though the battery will not hold a charge just because of the way the problem presents itself. I need to know who to contact to get the system fixed. Do you the information I need about where I can get it fixed?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi,
The battery compartment is not easy to access and it does not appear as though the battery is meant to be "consumer removable/replaceable batteries".

Thanks,
