Panasonic 32 inch TV has horizontal lines across screen
Whenever I turn on the TV initially the audio is perfect but no picture. There are horizontal lines across the whole screen and this continues for about 5 mins then the picture will appear.
However, It will intermittently go from picture to horizontal lines but not all the time once the TV warms up after 5 mins.

The t con board or LCD panel of the tv is faulty. Can confirm by replacing the t con board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
Sounds like 'bad' or 'dry' capacitors in the vertical deflection circuit. Please note that leaving the white line on the screen too long can burn in the screen, which is permanent damage.
this is a frame fault
the fact that you can still see the line when the tv is off is because you have been watching with the line and it has burnt into the crt.
Hi I had the same problem. Broken white lines across the top of the screen. This is called overscan. You need to go into the Setup menu, other settings. 16:9 overscan needs to be on. Hope this helps. It solved our problem.
The problem turned out to be caused by a poor solder joint on R530. This is in the HV sensing circuit and is associated with IC501/ comparator. The resistor was replaced for good measure and proper operation restored.
this symptom, sometimes called the tube light effect, it is characterised by a bright thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen. this symptom is caused by a breakdown in the vertical deflection circuit. hence maybe the trouble maybe in the vertical oscillator, amplifier or output circuits. but if all i have said is not clear to you, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!
Will try that suggestion and report back results. Thanks.
