No Sound... Multimedia Audio Controller Issue

I have an Asus P4S800-MX Motherboard which doesnt play any sound since I upgraded it to Windows XP Media Edition 2002. The computer is an Intel Celeron with a 2.67GHz processor.    I have my speakers plugged it but when I try to open a sound via e.g. iTunes it says 'There is a problem with you Audio/Video Configuration'    On my control panel I went to System > Hardware > Device Manager and next to my Multimedia/Audio Controller a yellow '?' has appeared.
Any Help Most Appreciated! unable to play audio sounds

NO AUDIO-MULTIMEDIA CONTROLLER

Click the link & download the audio software for the Asus P4S800-MX.
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4S800-MX&SLanguage=en-us
Create a folder on you're desktop & download the audio driver into that folder. Uncompress the file to within the same folder. Open device manager. Find the yellow ! point. Right click on it once & slide up to & left click once on update driver.
Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Click the green check mark once & it will go away.
Click the browse button, click the + sign next to my computer. Find you’re desktop & the folder you created. Open the folder & click once on the new folder (The uncompressing created). Click on & windows will do the rest.
If you have more troubles just let me know here.

Good Luck!
