Frigidaire stackable front load washing machine

My washing machine is no longer draining. It starts the cycle but then stops mid-cycle and doesn't continue washing or drain. My model is GLGH1642FS.

After the cycle completes, the washer slowly fills with water. It does not happen every time, and it has fixed itself when I reset the breaker as the manual suggests. However, it has become more regular of late and resetting the breaker no longer is fixing the problem. Do these machines have bad pumps? Is this one working intermittently possibly?

Frigidaire heavy duty super capacity 2 speed combonation sometimes goes through cycle fine but mostly continuously fills and drains at start S.N. XE32103237 - FEZ831CAS2

All front loading washers will fill and drain multiple times before it finishes. Unlike a top loader, a front loading washer will take longer to run because there is no agitator and will fill with water and drain multiple times. A front loader is more energy efficient than a Traditional top loading washing machine. A washer dryer combo will take hours to complete a cycle.

Frigidaire (LTF2940E) Washer starts, stops, starts, stops...

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Frigidaire Stackable Front Loader Washer

Jane, check to make sure that the drain hose has a air gap in the drain. Sometimes you will get a siphoning effect if you don't have the gap or it is pushed down to far in the drain. If this is not your problem, it's probably a timer issue...Catriver..post back
