I bought Call of Duty: world at war and right away my roommate took it and started to play it on his playstation 3 where he beat the game and now plays online however when i went to put it in my playstation 3 the game doesnt read. my television just pops up Not Supported Format. why is this?

it might be the be the copy of call of duty 5 you have got it happend to me but i traded my old call of duty in and bought a new 1 and it worked fine hope this helped
Well here you to go the answer to your problem is.....................................1. Sign out of your playstation account.2. Load game (the game will load fine without being logged in.3. Stop at the start menu do not press start when it is blinking "Press Start to Continue"4. Tap the Ps home button and log on to your account.5. After logging on hit the ps button to return to the game and hit will play fine.
Check the 24 Hz setting in the BD/Blu-ray setting area. Some
televisions do not support this option. Turn it off. It will prevent
blu-ray movies from playing.
Your guys answers ****!! Do not delete the game data that is stupid and only works for a handful of people.1. Log off of your playstation account.2. Load the game ( it should now load fine while not being logged onto PSN)3. When reaching the start menu do not press start!!!!4. Tap the home button and log onto your account.5. After logged on tap the button again and the game will run fine.
I had the exact same problem (except there was no noise) and I bought a new copy and the same thing happened. What I did was that I created a new account especially for call of duty world at war and it worked perfectly on that account.
does it ask to update if not may have to playstation website and get new firmwire some disk already have it on disk my daughters wwe game with new 80gb system had to do update before could play it
my playstation is brand new and so far yes this is the only game.
