I just bought an LG NB3520 sound bar. I see on the LG US website that this sound system includes bluetooth connectivity (see manual - http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-nb3520a#) . But the local manual and specifications exclude this option and i can't find this option in the soundbar's menu. The salesperson told me it does not include BT. how is it possible that LG sells the exact same model in 2 different countries and removes the BT capability for one country? is there anything i can do to revive BT capability on my sound bar? firmware update perhaps? thank you in advance for your advise.

I found a partial solution for this one! I purchased a Bluetooth Audio Receiver with 3.5mm Female Jack from Deal Extreme. It connects to the 3.5mm socket on the sound bar and "talks" with my Iphone. Now i can transmit my iphone music / radio stations/ youtube sounds to my LG soundbar and listen to music from my iphone without having to connect it physically to the sound bar. not perfect but it works :-).

You need to press "Input" on the remote and keep pressing it until you get to the connection that you are using (e.g.: HDMI, etc). Once on that, you can use the setup screen. It took me several hours to figure that out.

There is an orange button on the remote, half way down in the middle. I belive it has orange lettering and says something like "TV-?" press that, and the sound should start to come through your speaker system. You can then use the original remote that came with your TV and turn the sound off on the TV to use just the theatre system. I noticed that if you use the TV speakers in conjunction with the theatre system, that it echo's.

Hello,
There are two things that I can suggest.
1-Test your optical cables to make sure they a good on a known working source because they are very fragile and break very easily.
2-Try to eliminate the use of optical output from tv to receiver. There may be a problem from the HDMI to optical conversion at the tv. Instead, try running the audio directly from the source to the receiver, and let the tv deal with video input only.
