Question about Thermador Ovens
On the wireing it has 4 wires red/ black/ green n white joined together
Yes,the black and red era the 2 wires that supply 120 volts each for the required 240 volts necessary to operate the oven, the white is the neutral wire and the green is the case ground wire, and it should be connected to any metallic part on the oven not with the white wire, only if the power supplying this oven comes directly from the main power panel in the house and isn't off a sub panel before the oven can this be considered ok to be connected together

Your terminal block has been by-passed .
Hook your black cord wire to the black screw on the terminal block.
Hook your white wire to the white screw on the terminal block. Hook the bare ground to the exterior ground screw.
The 2 wires that are wire-nutted together will have to hook to the red wire on the cord.(they originally went to the third connection on the terminal).
You will probably have to cut and strip the red cord wire and attach it with the 2 wire-nutted connections.

SOURCE: Gas oven electrical hookup issue
Hello. I can help you. What you have there at the wall is a circuit with 120 volts of power available. Your Gas oven requires 240 volts of power, thus the additional [red] wire. That said, they do not match up.
You will have to run a 240 volt wire from your electrical panel to rear of your stove opening with the correct circuit breaker in the panel, the correct amperage wire to the stove, the correct receptacle for the stove and the correct plug on the stove.
This is serious electricity here so do not proceed on your own as you could get seriously hurt or worse.
