sd card is automatically recognized, however you need to
- set default storage as sd card
- also move apps and data to sd card from memory/storage setting menu individually.
Yet many apps occupy main ram and refuse to release space
The manual only can give two reasons why the camera would not take pictures.
One, there is no memory card placed.
Two, the memory card is full.
You are sure you have placed a working empty memory card.
If you did save all the pictures on the memory card to a computer, try formatting the card in the camera.
When you are pressing the shutter release button half, does the camera say it is focused correct? light bottom corner of the display.
Your camera has a setting to take pictures with a remote control. Did you put the camera in that setting? Read page 76 of the manual.
You can do an hard reset. This will reset all settings to factory and erase phone memory. It won't delete data stored on SIM:
1.Remove Sim card and memory card 2.press and hold down the "R" button 3.Insert battery Into the phone while you keep holding R button. 4 When the display comes on release the R button and allow the phone re-booting 5. Put the SIM back into the phone.
Other way to release the lock is by holding down the letter L button and the Menu key at the same time. In this case the phone will not get reset, but the lock should temporarily release access to the menus. The function availability depends on settings. You can give it a try before resetting the phone.
There are two Vivitar DVR-410 models. A model released in the early 2000's and a newer version released in 2010.
If you have the the earlier DVR-410 model then it will probably only use low capacity SD cards - e.g. 512Mb or lower. if you are trying to use a higher capacity card on this model it may well show that it is full.
If you have the modern 2010 version of the DVR-410 then it can uses SD cards upto 2Gb and SDHC cards upto 16Gb
You should also check the card you are trying to use is formatted, and the lock switch is not set.
Do you have a memory card installed? By default the camera locks the shutter release if no memory card is installed. Install a memory card if you have one, or change Custom Setting F6 to "Enable release" and see if you can take a picture.
What release mode are you in? If the camera is set to one of the remote release modes, it's waiting for an infrared signal from the ML-L3 remote release. Turn the camera off and on again, then try to take a picture.
What focus mode are you in? In AF-S, the shutter will not release until focus is acquired. Try turning off the autofocus (there's a switch just below the lens release button) and see if you can take a (probably blurry, but who cares?) picture.
Does the battery have sufficient juice? Press the menu button, navigate to the Setup Menu, then select Battery Info. If it's below 10%, I'd charge the battery. Of course, if the menu doesn't come up on the screen, that would tell me that the battery probably needs to be charged.
Is there a lens attached? What type? Certain older lenses and others lack the electronics to fully support newer digital cameras. With such lenses, you have to switch to Manual mode. Turn the mode dial to M and see if you can take a (probably an improperly exposed, but again, who cares?) picture.
Are you getting any error messages? If so, or if none of the above apply, then the camera may need service.
Step1
Perform a soft format of your phone by dialing *#7370# just as you
would any other phone number. This will erase the contents of the
phone's internal drive.
Step2
Use a hard format only if absolutely necessary; this sequence will
reset your phone back to its original factory settings.
Step3
Turn your phone off.
Step4
Hold down the green answer, * and 3 buttons.
Step5
Switch the phone on without releasing the buttons.
Step6
Release the buttons when "aFormattinga" appears on the screen.
