Question about Electrolux Centralux Vacuum

Suction centralux vacuum two years old doesn't have the volume air movement it once had. Unit will still quickly reach an extremely high head of suction so no broken pipes. ran napkins thru no blockage, overode filter safety switch ran with out filter no difference. just don't move air like it used to

thank you with your suggestion i inspected further and found beyond the filter the 1 1/2" dia. hole screened with 1/8" o.c. grids that was coated with lint, cleaned off now it moves air like congress spends money and now we have the giant sucking sound you here coming from the district of criminals. next tim i'll open my eyes when overiding the filter switch

Check all the filters as well. We have dogs and the hair clogs up the filters. We take a air hose threw our vacuum once a month and it works like new again without replacing anything

Check that the Handle has a slider to adjust air flow, Electrolux Vac's arent really designed for carpet cleaning, check hose for breaks or cuts and everything is secure, while its on run your hands all over the hose and vac to locate any air flow that should not be.

When we plug in the hose the motor in garage runs but no air or suction comes out of the outlets. we cleared all the lines too.

Check to see if you have suction at the unit. If you have suction at the unit, your pipes are stopped up. If you don't have suction, you have a pipe loose under the house. Also you could just have a stopped up hose

Extreme vaccum has no suction.

Make sure you put the dirt cone back in the bucket to create the tight seal. You will have no suction without the dirt cone.

Filtex central vacuum

Check suction at main unit. If it is not good and the unit is empty you might need a new motor. If good there and one of the inlets is open, connect and disconnect the main line at the main unit. If it labors each time the line is connected, there is an obstruction in the line. If it doesn't labor you have a leak in your line.

My centralux has minimal suction.

your supposed to WASH the sponger fileter out thouroughly NOT wipe it off. the dirt is in the poors thats why the air can't get through. At this point i would replace the filter if its never really been washed.

Brush assembly will no longer spin on carpet however the suction from the system is still good. Unit is only 5 years old.

Open and check for belt damage. Also make sre there isn't debris causing this error.
