Phone locks up 15 seconds after I put in memory stick

On a different computer, copy all the files from the CD-ROM to the USB memory-stick.
Move the memory-stick to your computer, and install the software, by accessing the memory-stick.

I have a notebook so had no disc drive so a friend downloaded some music onto a memory stick which I transferred onto my desk top. I then plugged in the spongebob player and simply opened the folder for the player then dragged the music folder to it and it downloaded the tracks onto it, took about 10 seconds to do a whole album. If you have a disc drive, I assume you can do the same, just drag and drop

Find another computer with a CD-drive and a USB port.
Purchase a USB memory-stick.
Connect the memory-stick to that computer, and copy all the files from the CD onto the memory-stick.
Move the memory-stick onto your computer, and install from the files on the memory-stick.

this the great solution... try low level format..

1. plug ur usb flash
2. run Formatter v2.9.0.9.exe
3. follow the instruction and wait for the format (might take 5min for 4GB)
4. after complete, may the small volume (about 2MB...here the solution
5. plug your usb flash on other computer and format like regular (make sure u untick quick format) and click on "restore device defaults" then click format
6. now your usb flash drive was like a new one

Plug your memory stick into the USB slot on the computer. If this is the first time that particular memory stick is being placed into the machine, it will take a few seconds to find the drivers and install it.
Once this is completed, you want to open "My Computer" and look for the Removable Device that will normally have a drive letter of (F:) for example. When you have this window open, open another window, this time with the location of the information you want save on your memory. Once this is found you can transfer them by right clicking on each of the files you want sent to the memory stick and click "send to .....and send it to the removable device. If you want to transfer files in bulk, you can simply drag the files you want into the window you already have open with the removable disk. Practice it and it will become like second nature to you.

Your phone should come with a PC SUITE cd and a usb connector cable. It should be as easy as installing the software then plugging in your phone, going to the images section of the software and copying them to your PC.

Alternativly you can take out your memory card and put it in a USB adapter so it appears as a memory stick and you simply click and drag your photos onto your desktop.

when you click download click on save then desktop then put your stick in and just drag the file to memory stick

To install full version you need either to purchase a disk or to purchase the download from Symantech.

If you have purchased the download or if you want to install the trial version download, just copy the install file onto an usb memory stick.

Plug the memory stick with norton install file onto your computer with no internet and run the installer from usb stick.

This will install norton with no need for the Internet.

If you buy nortom full version you may need to validate installation by phone, but that is not complicate.

The disc provided by Sony Ericsson, with your phone is probably out of date. Even if you bought the phone today.
Before you do anything else, remove the old PC Suite from your PC and do a restart.
Go to:

Download the latest PC Suite.
If/when prompted, click RUN on the download window.
Or open Windows Explorer. Find your phone in there somewhere, then drag and drop the Files, Pics etc...
The PC Suite will only download your pics once from the phone, so as to prevent repeated copies.

what you should try doing is when you install the software to the pc just load the music into the music folder that poops up on the screen when you connect the usb to the phone via pc....without the use of the PC Suite software.
