Your correct check the website of the manufacturer or install the modem as an standard modem

The 'autorun' sequence to run the disc might have been made for older operating systems. But that should not stop you from installing the driver for the 330 IDSL modem.

1. Go to start-> My computer. Locate your G: drive with the disc inside and right click on it. Choose explore and see if this allows you to view the contents of the disc. If there is a generic application labeled setup.exe execute it. If the application loads the driver for you then your in luck. If not then onto #2.

2. Your modem has been out for a while and has new drivers for it. You can always type in a search "SpeedTouch 330 IDSL modem" and download a more recent driver off the internet.

Unplug both devices,and remove the cable/dsl line input to modem, wait 5 minutes, plug cable back it, then turn on modem, wait a minute, then plug in router.The signals should mesh.If not, buy a new router, theyre cheap!~

You dont need both. Do the following:
Unplug your speedtouch from the phone line at the back of the speedtouch unit. Plug that cable into your Zoom. Then plug one end of an ethernet cable into router and one end into your PC. Type http://10.0.0.2 into a web browser (eg. Firefox or Internet explorer) username/password is admin/zoomadsl go to basic setup and input your ISP username and password (the one given to you by your internet provider) under PPP. Click configure my connection. Save changes and then write to flash (both buttons on bottom of page)

yes the modem is independant of what computer it's on ....... unless in the modem it's self you have set up some of the security features like Mac filtering etc then it would have to be added, but as far as it working with your new computer it should be just fine if it's not let me know and i will assist you in connecting it.
The modem is most likely set up as dhcp so when you connect your new computer it will give it the required setting to connect.

Install Router Commander. This program can optimize router settings and speed up your internet connection.
