above shows the general installation method for virtually all turntables. If it keeps falling off, you will need a new belt.

Flash won't pop up all the way open.

What has happened is a tiny little spring has broken inside or gotten out of position. Rather than try to fix that, get a thin rubberband (with circular, not flat, cross section) of the proper length as determined as follows. When you turn on the camera, select "force flash", and then half-press the shutter button, you'll be able to lift the flash unit with a fingernail under the crack separating it from the rest of the camera. Once open, put your thin rubberband under the black plastic "ridge" at the front of the flash unit; this ridge is just above the glass-enclased flash tube. As you pull the thin rubberband toward the back of the camera, put a half-rotation into it so that the rubberband crosses over it self (makes an X ) halfway back. One of the X-loops is under the ridge. Put the other X-loop around and under the eyeball-viewing protrusion on the back of the camera. If the rubberband is short enough (but not too short), it will have enough stretchy force to hold the flash unit in the fully open ("up") position. If you're lucky, it may also pop it open when the flash is called for. If not, use your fingernail and just let the thin rubberband hold it in the up position. It works for me.

The rubberband came off the turntable, and i was wondering what the pattern is to put it back on. thank you

Lift felt on platter and and lift the platter section off the unit by putting your thumb and forefinger through the two large holes and pull upwards. There should not be any special routing for the belt and should go directly onto the spindle motor to your platter. Place the belt around the inside rim of the platter while it is still off the unit. Now replace the platter and move the platter around until you see the spindle motor through one of the holes. Use some tweezers to manouvre the belt onto the spindle motor. On some units you will have to lay the belt out inside the unit, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter. Hope this helps

Fixing turntable

go to this site as if the belt came off it may have stretched in which case it will re-occur? http://www.needledoctor.com/Online-Store/Turntable the belt goes round the inner ring under the turntable platter and onto a little brass capstan on the motor. fit it on the capstan motor first then onto the inner ring on the platter. good luck.

I have just a basic belt drive turntable and the belt fell off.... i need help on how to put it back on

Hi There.
If the belt falls of the platter, it might be an indication that the belt has stretched and is now too large. Or maybe it just fell off for any other reason.
Remove the rubber mat, and pull upwards on the platter to remove it. Sometimes there is a small "C" clip on the center spindle that has to be removed first. (use a small flat screwdriver to remove)
Turn platter over, and put rubber belt around diameter ring on underside of platter. It should be snug, and not fall off when you turn platter over.
Put platter back onto turntable, and spin by hand until you see the motor shaft through one of the holes in platter.
With a pair of tweezers - or crochet hook, put belt over shaft.
You're done.
Put back rubber mat and give it a try.
Good luck,
Fred
PS: If there was a "C" clip, you can re-install it - or throw it away.

The belt fell of the gears on my turntable.

Hi dont know the model but normally like so:
Take the platter of the turntable, it should just lift of, but there could be a circlip in the middle that needs to come off first. Just lift the mat first.

Place the belt back onto the platter first, should see where it goes, then put the platter back on. There are holes in the paltter which you can then grab the belt and pull it over the motor spindle.

Hope that helps

Belt is off my audio-technica turntable at-pl50

WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST! Any oils on the drive belt may cause slippage.

This is from the manual:

A) Remove the record mat from the turntable platter
(Fig. 10a). Through an opening in the
turntable platter, visually inspect to see if the drive belt
is around the motor pulley (Fig. 10b).
B) If the drive belt is not around the motor pulley: Lift
and remove the turntable. Place a thumb into each of
the left and right openings on the turntable platter; and,
using the fingers to press down on the turntable housing’s
surface, pull the platter straight up (Fig. 10c).
Avoid pressing on the tone arm.
C) With the turntable platter bottom side up, place the
belt along the outside wall of the turntable platter's
drive rim, making certain that the belt is smooth and
flat all the way around (Fig. 10d).
D) Put the turntable back on the center spindle, make
certain it is fully seated, and align one of its openings
over the motor pulley position.
E) Through the opening, carefully hook the turntable
belt with a finger or with the original red ribbon (never
use a sharp object) and pull the belt over the motor
pulley (Fig. 10e). Make certain the belt is not twisted
between the pulley and the platter’s drive rim.
F) Put the record mat back on the platter.
G) While holding the tone arm in its rest position,
slowly turn the platter by hand clockwise at least 10
rotations to clear the mechanism’s automatic cycle.

The belt on my turn table came lose

01- Remove the rubber cushion.
02- Remove the Turntable Platter
03- Place your drive belt around the ridge inside the platter
(Make sure that it is not twisted)
04-Place your Turntable Platter back on the unit
05-rotate your platter until you can see a brass knob through one of the round holes in the turntable. (Your belt must be placed around the brass knob) The best way is to take a toothpick and carefully slide it under the drive belt and then pull it out enough that you can place it around the knob. I had the same problem and the above works. If you still have problems getting it back on contact me 352-377-1828......
