Samsung lcd volumn ok with dvd very low with tv only

The volumn when watching TV is clear but I have to turn it up near the maximum of 100 to hear much. After warming up for 20-30 min I can hear at 70-75 on the volumn scale. The volumn is fine when using my DVD player or Roku box with this tv. TV volumn at 17-20 is more than adequate when using either device.

SOURCE: New Samsung Tv High pitched hum

Don't know if people are still having this issue or not but figured I'd post what i went through to help anyone that has. My LN-T3253H tv as out of warranty when I finally got around to calling Samsung. They flat out lied about the commonality of this problem and I convinced them to at least pay for any parts. Problem is the labor of a technician would be around $150. So, I bought the new power supply from Partstore.com for around $70. Just go to partstore.com and enter your model number and look for the power supply on the page. It took 3 days to get the part. It was very easy to replace. All you have to do take off the back cover of the tv (think there were around 12 screws all around the outside and one where the A/V connections are and pull off. Unhook the plugs going to the power supply and the four screws holding the board and then replace with the new board. So far, this fixed the issue. Keep your old board in case it starts happening again. You can probably have the old board repaired to fix the original problem since so many TV repair shops are aware of the issue. I am trying to find out from someone which specific capacitor or other piece is causing the issue and plan on fixing it myself. If and when I do, I will also post that.

Make sure you give Samsung a ton of grief when you speak to them and see if they lie to you also. I had just bought two of the new Samsung LED TV's for my media room. They work great but I returned both because of Samsung's refusal to fix my LN-T3253H and I will never, ever buy Samsung products again.

SOURCE: Samsung HDMI issue

Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem, you could return it.
However, when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input?
Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver?

SOURCE: optical output on tv through dvd home cinema out of sync

Up front, i copied this from another site, so kudos to the OP there if this works for anyone...

Hi,
This same problem had been bugging me when I bought my LE37B650, everyone suggested adjusting the delay time on my AV amp but unfortunately mine does not have this function.

Anyway I finally fixed the problem using the following steps

Before you start make a note of your menu settings as you will have to reset them after this procedure

Turn off the TV then press Info -> Menu -> Mute in sequence then turn the TV back on again. This will get you into the secret Service Menu. Go straight to the AUDIO page of the menu. Don't be tempted to fiddle with things in service menu cos you can end up in a right old pickle!

In the AUDIO page you willl notice that there is a time delay set for the internal speakers of 100ms but for some reason this is not set for the external output so all you need do is dial in a 100ms delay there and that should sort the problem. Well it fixed it for me.

Note that as soon as you enter the service menu, all your other standard menu settings are lost and the screen will be set to dynamic for some reason so you have to go through and change everything back after you have done this.

Hope this Helps

This would suggest that you CAN fix the problem with an analog amp.

Also interested to see if a 2 year old thread is alive!

FUNAI WD5B-N8480ZB CONNECTED TO SAMSUNG TELEVISION VIA HDMI. WHEN PLAYING DVD NEED TO TURN SOUND ON TV NEARLY TO MAXIMUM TO GET REASONABLE SOUND

if you haven't alread, try connecting your tv with the standard RCA connectors, (for the audio) you may have to also connect the yellow video cable depeding on your system. If the audio is low level with these connectors, the problem may be the TV itslef. Aother option is to plug something else into the tv audio inputs (again you may need to have something plugged into the yellow video input. good luck

This happens on our samsung too with some dvd's.
It is not the tv's fault (in my case) but have to turn the volume button on the dvd remote up full first then adjust from the tv remote as required.
