I have multiple Symbol/Motorola Mc 70's. One of them is configured for a wireless connection (wlan) with TKIP encryption. Now I want to copy this profile to all Mc70's. I did export Options and Profiles, copied them to my pc, and copied both back to an empty Mc70. Still I don't have the pre-configured wireless connection available on this new Mc70. What's the best way to copy Profile's and settings?

I used the manual keys to get to the alignment screen...
But the unit would not hold the settings.

Does it respond to keyboard entry? If not, check to see if the "lock" icon on the screen is in the locked position. It's real easy to accidentially lock the device. If it is, just click on the lock and confirm that you want to unlock.
The next few can be a problem if the screen is not responding, so you'll need to figure out the keyboard equivalent:
You may also want to check the system settings. I believe there is a setting that will enable you to "turn off" the touch screen function.
Finally, try a touchscreen alignment in the system settings.

This can get kind of complicated, and your wireless carrier may block this depending on the data plan. It's also different for the MC7095 (CDMA) and MC7094 (GSM/GPRS) models. You may also want to see if your device BSP release is up-to-date.
Here is some basic info for the MC7095 (Sprint):
Device was not connected to network to start.
Went to Start, Programs, Internet Sharing, tapped Connect, showed Status: Check USB connection. Internet Sharing drivers were installed on laptop computer, then device displayed Internet Sharing Status "Connected". We were able to browse the web on the laptop computer. Closed out of Internet Sharing (tap X on upper right hand corner). On device, tapped Start, Internet Explorer, attempted to browse to a webpage. Able to browse on both laptop computer and MC7095 device.
Note: Attempted to Disconnect the Internet Sharing session, unable to. The device does not appear to respond to the "Disconnect" option on bottom left of screen. When tapping "Disconnect" the option light up as if being tapped however the device itself shows no other changes and Status still displays :Connected.
***FYI*** In testing with a different MC7095 (BSP33) we experienced the same issues with not being able to "Disconnect" the Internet Sharing session.

If you're sure there is not a system setting that could be the cause, just try a power cycle - hold the power button for a couple seconds (not long enough to cold boot), then hit it again to turn it on.
You may also want to check your internal and external battery life to see if the device is shutting down to conserve power.
One other strange thing we've found with some devices (in particular, if you're having trouble turning the device on) we've found that just removing the battery and reinserting, or swapping it with another, can sometimes, on rare occasion, resolve some power issues.
I believe there was a known issue with one of the BSP releases (3.9?), so this may be the cause. Contact MOT to determine if the one you have could have been affected and ask them to fix it. You can try to upgade the BSP on your own, but it can be a hassle.
Good luck
