Out of range 90.0khz/60hz

When I install to my dock and close the laptop I get an error stating our of range 90.0khz/60hz and can't do anything. If I reopen the laptop monitor, the error goes away and I can move the mouse into the monitor - I've checked the settings and they seem to be within or below the range listed for this monitor - Getting extremely frustrated!

SOURCE: My LG Flatron W2453SQ monitor

HI kissakiwi,

In the control panel's power option , you need to change the SYTEM STANDBY settings to never , and then the problem would be solved.

There are three options , turn of monitor, turn of hard disk and , system standby , if you select all of these three to 'never' then you won't have this problem.

Remember you can also change the settings via the screen saver tab when you right click and select properties on the desktop.

Let me know in case you have any queries. Hope this helps ...:)

SOURCE: My LG 1715S monitor that

Hi there,
Normally the option to reset the monitors default settings is available on the On Screen Display.
Try to Go to Menu look for Advanced Menu or any of that sort and the choice to reset it to factory default should be there.
Otherwise a hardware problem with the color mixer is the cause and that would have to be sent to the service center for repairs.
Other things you can try is to swap cables and try it on a different computer or a TV box.
If the same result happens then definitely it's the color mixer that has gone bad. Maybe it tripped or the part already given up.
You can try contacting LG through 1 (800) 243-0000
Hope this helps!

Input signal out of range

anon posts. you meant x768 im sure.
no PC stated, ? why?
windows 8, from HP? or from Microsoft???
is it on DVD? or on a stick this install medium?
where did you get w8 and from whom.?/? (matters)

that message is from w8 installer, (win8PE engine)
and is warning you this old monitor , can not do modern high resolutions. (or is not recognized ,IMO PE Failed you.)
there are 2 solutions,
if PC is HP, you never said what it is?
go to HP.com and get the w8 install media from them.
if not HP
go to unstated makers pc home page, do same.
if PC is so old its not supported by your PC maker go to.
not telling PC full name and model makes all help near impossible.
Lets play game, PC is so old W8 cant suport it now.
(learn that not all old hardware is supported now, a FACT)

ok got microsoft.com
and get the correct and current ISO install from them.
so it works right.

spec on your screen is
1366 x 768 @ 60Hz, 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz, 1280 x 720 @ 60Hz, 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz, 800 x 600 @
60Hz, 720 x 400 @ 70Hz, 640 x 480 @ 60Hz

my guess is your w8 disk is old. and fails to know
the above. or fails to ID scan the HP1911 correctly
the screen can be 2011 screen , 6 years old.
means should not fail to install. ok.

Did a clean install of my laptop. Windows does not acknowledge Windows Vista Home Premium

There will be a sticker on the laptop wi the product key. It will be in the format of xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx Sometimes the sticker will be under the battery. If the sticker is not on the laptop it was either removed, or you need to make a complaint with Walmart.

How do I conect my Acer aspire 5750 lap top to my sony hdmi tv. I have recently brought a VGA cable that allows me to connect my laptop to my tv. The problem is that everytime i connect the tv and the...

"Out of range" means that the picture displayed by the laptop cannot be displayed by the TV, either because the resolution is not supported or the refresh rate is not supported.

Sometimes, I've had to set the refresh rate (from the laptop Display settings) to 59Hz to get it to work as opposed to the default 60Hz.

What resolution does your TV support? What resolution does the laptop support?

Matching these as closely as possible and you'll get the picture on the TV screen.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes,

Check the voltage and frequency range on the power module.
If the module is meant for 240V at 50Hz, it will not work right at 120V at 60Hz for example.
It may state a range such as 90 - 250VAC 50-60Hz. Be sure that your power falls into that range.

The problem may simply be something that happened in transport though, such as the carriage belt or calibration strip falling off or an ink cartridge is jamming the heads because it fell partially out etc.

Is it JUST reading error, or is it giving an error code as well?
if it's giving an error code, try looking up the code for a better explanation as to what the problem might be.

I misplaced my power cord to my notebook. How do I determine which powercord is the ccorrect one?

A) Look on the bottom of the notebook. Usually states the Voltage (V) and Amperage (A)

Should state > Input: 18.5V/3.5A
(18.5 Volts at 3.5 Amp's)

B) Look at the charger;

The AC adapter (Charger) will state;

Input: 100 ~ 240V/50 ~ 60Hz
Output: 18.5V - 3.5A

Should look similar to this,

Installing new LCD monitor on Compaq. Getting error messsage :Analog Out of range 88.6 Khx, / 85Hz Please help Already tried to install any necessary drivers Mike

Your old monitor muts have been a CRT type. Reboot the PC into safe mode (hitting F8 key during boot up), then set the resolution to be 640 x 480 @60Hz. Then reboot, then readjust the resolution again to the native resolution of your new monitor (I cannot tell what that is since you do not give the make and model of the monitor), make sure to leave the refresh rate at 60Hz.
