Add hdmi port to mitsubishi ws-65807

I doubt it as it was never designed for that kind of input, Component works best on this set and it should have only one HD input for a box marked in the menu as DTV.

I have a mitsubishi TV model WS-73411 , a month ago it shut off while I was watching it. Since then it has been shuting off more and more as time goes by. It shuts off an average of 4-5 times at nite...

The next time it shuts down (I presume the green power light goes off) do the self check this model has, on front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a 2 digit error code like : 1 blink, 2 blink and repeat it several times.

1,2 is no error detected but there are other codes.

Let me know what you find.

Hello, asnowman here.
I had to reply to this post, as the other would not let me.

Your question:
Comment posted on Oct 26, 2009 Thank you for your help, do you know what board this is on? signal, main, or power? Your televsion is the 73411, and I think that your convergence IC's are on the center board, (called the power board, even though it doesn't have the flyback on it), if they are not they are on the signal board. You can't miss them they are attached to a very large aluminum heat sink and the IC's are very large as well. I hope that this answers your questions. If you need further assistance please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

no, the set only has anolog inputs there is no DVI or HDMI input to the set. DVI and HDMI are a digital pathway where as Y,Pb,Pr are high scan anolog. DVI carries only digital video and must be accompanied by an audio wire. HDMI carries both digital audio and video. this set was made before a standard of digital pathways were approved.
