Unfortunately the power is distributed from the inside to the two drawers.
You will have to address the cause of the problem in the top drawer.
If you are good at electric repairs you could disconnect the power from the dishwasher power board itself, but this is not for the faint hearted (no offence). Might be helpful if you can provide a little details about the problem with top drawer. Generally if you are getting F1 message on the panel on bottom drawer and top drawer display is blank (ie no power), then the power board at the base of dishwasher is blown and needs to be replaced. Please clarify model number as the one you provided is for single drawer unit. Make sure the mains power is turned off when you work inside the diswasher.
Thanks Sam. Model is DD603. Top drawer has gone apeshit! Half the display has disappeared so there are only bits and pieces of the display showing. From what I am able to see there is nothing showing that resembles a faultt code.Top drawer runs continualy and won't turn off, sometimes it has a bit of water left in it. Have tried a basic reset by switching power off. Sometimes it turns itself on and starts wash cycle by itself. Bottom drawer works fine which is why I want to disable the top one and just use the lower drawer.
Understand your issue. If you want to simply turn it off and avoid the nuisance you can do the following - Turn the mains power off, pull out the top drawer, take a plier and take out the plastic pins one on each side holding the front cover, carefully take the cover out making sure the top panel does not fall off, pull out the bottom connector feeding to the controller box on right side of drawer, wrap electric tape around the connector and leave it hanging, put the cover and pins back, turn on the mains power, hopefully that should help. However it is likely the display panel is faulty and needs to be replaced in the long run.
Thanks. That has solved the problem (until I replace the display panel)

I removed all internal pieces from the drawers to make them as light as possible. Then removed the securing screws, 2 each side at lower drawers. (These secure the unit in position in its cove. Slide out bottom drawer and loosen height adjust screws each corner to lower unit and then slide out. I taped the drawers closed so they wouldn't open as I moved it. I lifted the front and put a heavy rag under the front legs which helped me draw it out. It helps if you have a second pair of hands. As you edge it out, ensure power and water supply hoses are clear of any obstructions. it's not that heavy just unwieldy. Chers, Craig from OZ.

Your original problem, F4, was the machine trying to tell you that the heater plate was not working. When you turned the drawer up-side down, you may have damaged the wiring harness. If you do get a technician, call a fisher paykel authorized servicer, not an independent, and make sure you tell him about the F4 problem. A new problem has been introduced by the cleaning procedure, and both issues will need to be resolved.
SOURCE: blocked drainage hose in Fisher and Paykel top dishdrawer DD603
Hello there..
How do you know the hose is blocked at all? It's rare for that to happen, I work on these machines daily as I am a Factory Authorized tech. You need to be careful in your approach to this, that is an expensive machine and it can be damaged by improper service procedures.
For starters, there is a flap valve on the end of the drain hose that would prevent you from introducing any sort of pressure backwards into the machine via the drain hose. For example, if you took and tried to blow air thru the drain hose outlet end, you would force that flap closed and create pressure in the hose. Also putting caustic drain cleaning substances is very, very bad for your machine and can cause some serious damage.
I will be happy to try to assist you, but let's start at the begining, shall we? What prompted you to conclude that the drain hose is 90% blocked? The first thing you should do is take out the rack, wash arm and tha large stainless steel filter plate. Next, pull the rotor up and out of the pump base (none of these procedures require tools) and make sure the grey impeller is not "freewheeling" or has become detached from the rotor shaft. The blue wash impeller on the top and the grey drain impeller on the bottom must be "one to one" meaning they are firmly connected to the shaft of the motor and turn together.
Next, check the tube or passageway in the drawer between the sump (where that small removeable filter screen is) and the pump's sump area (where you pulled up the rotor)
If you have any blockage, it will be in that tube.
There is some glitch here where I do not get notified of response to questions, so I will check back to this post.
SOURCE: Water leaking from top dishdrawer
This is very rare in any dishwasher. I use to repair most all dishwahers. First check your door seal for any cracks, cuts or splits. The water inside is under great pressure and can push out from the top of the door if that is is weak, flat, or has anykind of cut or crack. If the leak indeed is coming from the top then you will need to get someone to help you pull out unit and check top for cracks or splits. This entire housing is plastic and may have come with crack. If your washer has a hose at the top, then check it good. While its out from under the counter run it and watch to see if you can tell where leak is coming from. I may have missed something. Remember, always unplug this from wall outlet or turn off breaker if you are indeed moving it in or out. Good luck.

By no power you may be implying there is no display etc and the swithces are not working. Most likely the controller of the top drawer has had it. The controller is mounted on the front of the drawer behind the door panel. Hope things are better than that.
