There are so many great Christmas cocktails to choose from, I guess what it will come down to is personal taste. Here are a few worth looking into:

• Eggnog - a Christmas favorite, with or without alcohol

• Mulled wine - red wine made with some sugar and plenty of your favorite spices (check the site below for a great recipe)

• Candy cane martini - for dessert; using berry vodka, peppermint schnapps, white creme de cacao - and if you would like to add grenadine and some half 'n' half then you can take it up a notch

A Singapore Sling is a gin based cocktail. Here is a classic recipe:

1oz Gin

1/2oz Cherry Brandy

4oz Pineapple Juice

1/2oz Lime Juice

1/4oz Cointreau (orange liqueur)

1/4oz Benedictine (herbal liqueur)

1/3oz Grenadine Syrup
