I was wondering if i could change my acer t690 processor but i dont know what processor i should get i use my pc for gaming
Yes, you can change the CPU, but your Motherboard will only support certain processors, Take a look at this Acer Support, you will see the compatible CPU's: http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/0000/Acer/AspireT690/AspireT690sp2.shtml Remember : Your machine's component work with one another, within parameters, one component,CPU, will not give you the improvement you might think. CPU, Memory, Graphics Card, Etc.,Upgrades, require more Power/Watts, therefore a new PSU. Which create more heat, new fan. One relies on the other. Do your research, their's a lot more to it than replacing one component. Do a comparison, what will all the components cost, to a new System? The prices for new Good Systems , are low due to slow sales of Desktops/Laptops.

Check the Acer web site and make sure U are putting in the correct type of DDR2 ram. Even though they are called DDR2, there are different types, i.e. 5300, 5600, etc.

Any new ATX PSU will do.
Prices variate, but an 500W PSU is good for this purpose and medium in budget terms.

upgrade the video..if its "on board" which is to say it is integrated onto the man board, you might still be able to purchase an expansion video card if you have the available slot for it. Be aware there are different kinds of slots(and corresponding cards)AGP,PCI,PCI-e so be sure you get the right one
