Hello,

It sounds as if you may have a problem with the mechanical element of the title rack.
Try to move it manually.
If it is moves easily the problem will more than likely be the motor or the Display Unit.
If that is the case you will need help from your Rowe Ami dealer.

The speed of the page motor and the number of pages are programmed in the computer. If this data was corrupted the speed could be set to zero or the range of page setting may be page 1 to page one. Either would keep the pages sitting there doing nothing while you press the buttons. I would try reloading the factory defaults first. I'm not certain but I think you put the (service) power switch to OFF and hold down 2 keys. Now this is the part I don't recall. I think you hold one of the numbers down and either the popular or reset, while holding these two keys down you turn the power back on. If you did it right it will say loading defaults or something to that effect. I'm sorry I don't recall the exact procedure but it may be some where here on Fixya. It is definitely worth looking for, because it will keep you from buying expensive parts that you may not need.

After the defaults are loaded, try and turn the pages with the keys, as they are are now set to full speed and full range.
If they still wont move, check the plug and all wires especially at the plug.

If you have no broken wires, you will need to replace the page unit.

Hope this was helpfull

I have a 1979 rowe ami jukebox model R65 when i switch it on it plays one record then just spins the record magazine and wont select another record what parts do i need .

Hello Gary,

If your jukebox is ineed a 1979 model it would be a R-83 Fiesta, Claremont or Disco. These jukeboxes curved top to bottom.
I think your jukebox may be the 1981 R-85 Starwood, Starburst or Starlight.

If your jukebox is from the 1979 era upwards then it will be electronically controlled.

Rowe Nostalgia jukebox will only play a few of the numbers of the 100 cd;s. Is there anyway to reset it so it will play all numbers?

Hello,

You will need to go into the programming section on the menu.
I suggest that if you do not have a manual that you obtain one from Rowe Ami, Victory Glass or distribution.

Have you initalised all of the CD's on your jukebox? Every time you replace a CD you have to initalise it.

My cd rowe ami jukebox is stuck in scan/transfer mode

Hello,

You say you do not have the digital display lite up, have you checked all of the breakers on the power supply?
If not do so. Rowe Ami jukeboxes are very prone to dry joints (cold joints in the USA) this is cracking around the soldered pin on the connections to the boards.
If you can solder correctly then check out the printed circuit board on the power supply. I would retest and see if the display now lights after correcting a fault on the power supply.
If that has not made any difference then proceed to the Mechanism Control Board and the Central Control Computer (CCC) and check again for dry joints.

If you can not solder with any confidence then send in your boards to a Rowe Ami specialist for testing/repair.

Have a Rowe Ami mmcd-1 jukebox but having keypad problems

Hello,

Rowe Ami jukeboxes are prone to dry joints (called cold joints in the USA), this is cracking around the soldered connection pins that connect the wiringing to the circuit boards. If you can solder correctly then I would advise you to check all of the boards for cracking around any of the pins on the boards. So check out the following:-
Power supply board
CCC
Mechanism control/decoder
Keyboard

I would check out the Keyboard/Display the display board controls the title flip buttons.
I have seen a nuber of brand new display units for sale in the USA on Ebay for very little money.
When these were first made they were an arm and a leg. If you bought the combined unit that was put into the HML hideaways you could refit into your jukebox.

If You are not good at soldering then my advice would be send the boards to a Rowe Ami specialist for testing/repair.
