Electric Dbl Wall Oven-loud popping noise at end of self clean

Kenmore 911-47629 Dbl Wall oven. At the end of the self cleaning cycle, I heard a loud POP and the breaker tripped. I reset the breaker and now the oven element and broil element will not work. the clock, timer and light function fine. I can hear the control unit click when I turn on the oven, but it won't heat up. I can't find a thermal fuse in the parts book and took the control unit out and saw no arcing marks.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Bill

Bill ,i dont suspect the control unit is the problem im going back to the loud pop you heard I would say the pop you heard was one of the elemants blowing and that the reason the the breaker tripped if you say the clock, timer and light functon are ok it more so points to an elemant in most cases when an elemant blows it breaks the circuit .but the other componants also work when you reset the breaker i think in this case bill i would call a electrician it needs testing, sorry i could not help this time bill, but do not hesatate to contact me if i can help you again.adrian

When I turn on the self cleaning oven, it makes a loud buzzing noise. Is this normal? If not, what needs to be fixed and how do I do it?

The buzzing sound comes from the relays located on the control board. Remember, the oven gets very hot during self clean, so the control works at full speed to get all the elements working.

I turned on the cleaning switch for my self cleaning wall oven and now it seems to be finished but mthe door lock is still on and the oven keeps making a buzzing noise what do I do?

If the lock does not open after the oven has cooled down, then try this: First, unplug the range or shut off the circuit breaker for ten minutes. Plug the range back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and try moving the door lock lever or opening the door. Next, set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for twenty minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever or opening the door

Kenmore Oven going crazy

The bang may have been an element arcing over.  Turn off the power and remove the element.  If it shows any form of damage, replace it.  If you're not sure, use a continuity checker to check it.  If you have two elements...do this for both.  You will likely find the problem.

Self cleaning

Never use spray cleaners in a self clean oven it will void your warranty and possibly ruin the oven. it sounds like what may have happened is the fumes from the spray ignited inside the oven and may have blown out the pilot light if your using gas.
or maybe replace the thermocouple. sorry, hope that helps.

Oven remains locked after self cleaning

I ended up paying an independent appliance repair man $149.00 to fix my problem. However the "fix" also includes the fact that I can never lock the oven again.
