HP G71-349WM Laptop Boot up Problems

I tried creating a recovery CD for Windows 7 from my other computer but it will not run it, or doesn't seem to. Problem I am having when I turn it on it gives HP invent screen with ESC to enter setup then goes to Windows Recovery Error screen with an option to launch startup repair (recommended) or start normally. Neither work. At one point I was getting a F30 error, hard disk can't be found. when system tries to repair it just goes to a blue screen with what appears to be rays on the screen and just hangs there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have an assignment due this Friday and I need to get access to my Access. Thank you.

There are many LEVELS of OS repair modes.
one is startup files bad, and fix that.
others are refresh.
and last full install.
the HP site covers how to do all that. hp.com
HDD not found is usual just that. bad HDD.
ever listen to one, if silent its DEAD, HDD, not SSDs.
One can remove the HDD, and put it in a eSATA enclosure
and plug it in to any PC modern has eSata, and see if data can be recovered. this is best way 1. or just plug it in to a good system.
Best is Desktop as those can have up to 8 drives installed ,
like my ASUS has. (actually more on mine)
That covers the topic DATA, recovery, 101.
now the cure.
buy a new SSD and then do a fresh install with HP media kit
then copy data from old drive, (if not dead) to new drive.
SOP, standard op. procedures. all.

Windows scans the HDD< for the DRIVER busy line to be not busy
if the drive is dead , it can set this line (all do dead) to true,.
busy forever, (aka READY) and is NOT ready.

when THE OS sees it in that logic state, it can not access it at all.
all it can do in that state is see name of HDD and model.
if super dead, it reads nothing... no Pnp DATA, zero.
and that is a totally dead drive.

one way to prove this is put the HDD in another system.
or run a live linux boot CD and see , yup its dead
or run linux partition tools, yup dead.
or windows 10 PE, boot CD
links to all that are here.

SOURCE: I cannot get passed the Windows Error Recovery

You need to have the Windows disk in when you select the Repair option. If you are getting a bluescreen consistently, there is a chance it may require a complete windows reinstall or new hardware (depending on your bluescreen information).

Forgotten log in password

Which system do you use?

On windows xp, try this:
Boot computer and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice when you See Windows welcome screen / login screen. It'll show classic login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in username field and leave password field blank, press Enter and you should be able to login Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".

If that doesn't or you use windows 7 or vista, try this:
1. Enter a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 and install the software on that computer.
2. Run the software and create windows password reset disk by follow the instructions.
3. Eject the created CD/DVD and insert it into the locked computer.
4. Reboot the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your locked computer's BIOS setting to make it boot from CD drive) and then follow the instructions to reset your password.
5. Now login Windows and set a new password.

Hi i have a porbolem with my hp pavilion dv5000 so i wanna reformat it and i dont know why

To reformat your HP machine, you need the recovery disks...This article tells you how to create them....Note...they can only be created ONCE from your machine.....so make sure you do it correctly:

http://www.pctechbytes.com/hp/hp-recovery-cd-creation

Next.... BACK UP your data...and TEST it.....make sure your data is working on your backup media....formatting the drive will erase all your data and start over from a fresh copy of Windows.

After that you need to boot your PC from the recovery disk (if it doesn't ask you to boot from the CD you will need to hit F10 key at your HP splash screen to enter the system BIOS. Find the boot order setting and change it so the CD/DVD drive is on top)

After you successfully boot from the DVD, you can pretty much follow the on screen instructions. The following page has more information on reinstalling Windows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/install-reinstall-uninstall

Good Luck...be careful, but don't be afraid :) as long as you have good backups you should be all good.

How can i find or reset my user password of my Hp cq40 running in windows7 ultimate.? please help me i need the data

I presume this is a standalone PC and not on a network, if so you could purchase software to recover your Windows password from this website. http://www.recoverwindowspassword.com/

You use this software to create a boot disc, then restart the computer booting from this and it goes into a little applicaiton where you can reset/delete the windows passwords. I used it on my son's XP operating system successfully.

Just read through the website information fully so you understand what is involved before you do it commit and purchase it. You need to be able to boot the PC from the disc so must have a DVD/CD drive connected and be familar with changing BIOS settings so you can boot from the CD location rather than the HDD.

If that last sentance sounded like lefthanded budgie then take it to a computer tech and get them to do it for you, will cost a little more but you'll get the password reset.

Forgot password to hp laptop how do i reset it.

I don't know what OS your HP laptop is installed with.

If it is Windows 8, Windows Password Hint, PIN code, Microsoft account can be used to login HP laptop. After logon successfully, change, recover or reset Windows 8 password is available.

If it is Windows 7, Password hint or another administrator account may help you. But if you don't have all of these, try password reset disk. Create it before Windows 8 locked or with Windows 8 Password Recovery tool is OK.
Besides these, Chntpw USB disk also works for Windows 7/Vista etc.
