you must have remove the white mylar sheet from the catridge when loading it...if yes! you got to find back the white mylar (plastic sheet) that slot in between the drum and charger roller placed it back ( the position must be accurate) then slot in back the catridge.The white mylar sheet is to reset the drum life counter

No, they are different items. I don't think office max would carry drum units.

Open front cover....press 'options', and select 'new drum'

Open the toner door then press clear

Move the blue slider on top of the cartridge side to side 10 times.

Pull toner and drum cartridge out by folding front door down and seperate the toner from the drum by pressing the blue lever. re-insert the toner into the new drum. After installing the cartridge back into the printer, leave door open and press the clear button and on the LCD screen you will see for new drum press 1 for yes and 2 for no. Press the 1 button and close front door. Finished. Please rate my help if this fixed your issue. Thanks!

with machine on, open front cover, press the "options" button, you should see "replace drum?" press the "start" key then 1 then 0. display should show accepted for a couple of secs. then show cover open. close front cover and message should be gone. if not, you will have to contact Brother.

Take it out with the drum unit and make sure the toner is in the drum unit right. If it was ok before you changed the toner then you did something wrong. reinstall the drum and toner after you check it. Lawrence

The toner cartridge is in the drum unit. push the blue lever and the toner pops out, make sure you have a toner cartridge in the drum unit. Lawrence
