Hi.

The driver that you are missing will be the chipset or removable storage driver. Click on the link below and download the chipset driver for the operating system you have installed and then install it, restart the computer and check device manager again. It will be a good idea to bookmark or save the page to favourites.

    Try the Serial ATA driver.

I have downloaded and installed every driver on the Dell site and still have not found it. I am wondering if it is one of the drivers for a part on the system made by another company. Like the Intel Proset wireless cards. You have to download the driver from Intel. Does any one know what this Unknown device might be on a Dell Studio 1555 laptop?

Try one of the Ricoh chipset drivers from the support page.

Hi,

You just need to download the appropriate audio driver for your motherboard. Go to the Device Manager and install all missing drivers for "Unknown Devices". Either connect to the internet or use the driver disc which came with your laptop.

For those who doesn't know how to access Device Manager, please follow the steps below.

For Windows XP:
Start -> Run -> Type devmgmt.msc (in the box) -> Right click Unknown device -> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver

For Windows Vista and Windows 7
Start -> Type devmgmt.msc (in the start search box) -> Right click Unknown device -> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver

Hope this helps.

When i start computer a option appear on the screen audio device on high defination audio bus but i have alredy installed m- Audio sound card & its Driver Also. Please solve my Problem.

first tell me is your audio is working or not? For some high definition audio drivers it also require universal audio architecture. I think your audio chipset is also related to thats.

check in device manager in sound section. for go to device manager open run and type "devmgmt.msc" and check. If any device is there with yellow mark means that driver is not loaded properly not only in sound section check all devices because if the driver is not recognized as sound device then it show as unknown device.
tell me which motherboard you are using.based on that i can help u.

I have tried the install disk for vista and it tells me there is a device driver missing but i do not know which one and cannot figure out which

Hi,

I am assuming that you need a driver for something that's missing from the computer and your not trying to install Vista.

If you go to "Device Manager" and have a look in the list for a device with a question mark next to it, that will tell you what the driver pertains to unless it says unknown device. Unknown device can usually mean the chipset or an add on.

If you right click on the device and select update driver then it may install it for you.
You can get to Device Manager by right clicking Computer, select Manage and then Device Manager.

Alternatively you can perform a Microsoft Update and see if that detects the device.

If you need any more help please post back.

Drivers for xp pro presario c508us downgdare

I also upgraded a new Compaq C751NR from Vista to XP, and the last yellow tag in device manager was-acpiHPQ0006

I used the driver from ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38171.exe

and used the 'setup.exe' in the folder. Worked perfectly.

Help help presario c508us downgarde driver problems

Go to your pc manufacturers website, search for the driver that matches your exact cd rom and operating system, write it down word for word. Uninstall any left over old drivers as these will conflict. Load the new driver, and your pc should run fine.
