Problem when running games

Help, guys! I have a foxconn 661mx motherboard, celeron 2.53, 512mb ddr 400, nvidia geforce fx 5200, 40Gig hdd 7200rpm The problem arises when i am playing games. At start, the game is running smoothly. Then after 3-5 minutes, the game begins to lag (like playing with GTA San Andreas with only 128MB of memory)! Thanks, guys

Sounds very much like the capacitors are gone. Have a close look at all the capacitors. I think you will find some that have bulged at the top, may or may not be leaking brown liquid. If they are, look at it as an opportunity to get a better board!

Pc died

Hello, I have had similar problems with that same motherboard in the past and have found that resetting the cmos (see users manual) or just taking the battery of the motherboard for a few minutes can solve this. CAUTION please remove the power lead on your tower before touching any components inside, and earth yourself first by touching metal.. as static discharge kills pc components..
Hope this helps.....

Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 / 256MB... Problem

Hi jhacy, I went over all you're posted questions conserning this issue with the FX5500 video card. Please include the manufacture name of you're motherboard & its model number. It is possible the video card is bad (Even if it's new). There are settings in the motherboard bios that me need to be shut off if the motherboard has an integreated video card onboard. It's possible that the AGP slot on you're board is dirty & needs to be cleaned. Please list the name or name's of the games you have tried to run but freeze you're computer or crash you're system.
I will automatically recieve an email from fixya when you post the information I have asked for above. Untill than, take care!

Nvidia fx 5200

The only time that this can happen is if the driver is not installed correctly, as on install you are normally asked if you want to activate support for dual monitors, so if you havent already, uninstall the card driver, restart and install driver again from the cd or from the NVIDIA website. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html If you have already tried this my apologies.
