SOURCE: magicolor 2400w won't feed paper

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, your described problem indicates a possible mechanical issue. In most printers, there would be a rubber wheel (or half a wheel in some) that grabs the end of the paper to provide the initial push through the paper path/rollers. If the unit has been in use for some time, it may be then wear & tear, the rubber has considerably worn out that it no longer provides sufficient grip. Alternately, it may be that this grab/rubber wheel just needs a bit of cleaning.

Pls post back results of cleaning. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: magicolor 2400w gives paper jam error at transfer

My 2400W was standing a long time without being used, and when I wanted to use it, it made a very faint image and showed "paper jam at transfer roller". Also, the image stayed on the transfer belt, but never got transferred to the paper. I tried a lot of things, nothing worked, but the message from weirdal1968 above pointed me in the right direction.

I eventually scratched / scrubbed / cleaned the copper pad on the left side of the optical imaging drum - this copper pad probably receives the bias voltage for the imaging drum from a springy stainless steel wire. There was some visible darkening of the copper pad where the stainless steel wire touched, this is what I cleaned. And then, presto, problem solved - the image came out great, and no more "paper jam at transfer roller" error message.

Magicolor 2400w top margin off

I spent a while troubleshooting a similar issue on my 2400W. It turned out to be the SL2 registration solenoid, which failed to engage properly. The purpose of SL2 is to stop the page temporarily until it lines up with the image on the transfer belt. Unfortunately, SL2 is very finicky, the foam pad that stops the lever flattened too much and got sticky, so the lever wouldn't engage anymore, and the paper went straight through instead of pausing briefly when using B&W mode driver, resulting in the shifted image. In color mode, I got no image, just a "paper jam at transfer roller" error message, even though the paper came out empty without jamming. I had to adjust SL2 a few times to get it to work optimally, i.e. with minimal travel and maximal holding force. Then everything worked well again.

Error light flashed when trying to print with Magicolor 2400W

Start the Konica Minolta Status application and check the error, you should get more info there.

Reset your Toners and Imaging units for Bizhub and CF series.

Paper keeps jaming!

Print a test page, then when it jams, notice if the paper made it's way in to fuser (toward the back of the unit. If it got that far, your fuser may be bad.

Let me know.

Error light, can't find the problem

Hi, you should check the position of paper sensor flag, called "actuator" (part number 4139 3505 02). On the picture - part 15. The "paper jam" error message means also - "toner cartidge missing", "paper out" or "photoconductor missing" e8dd7eb.gif
