I have the same issue I think...When dialing out to regular old phone number and an automated attendant answers and says to enter your party's extension, I can't. I start to dial it and it goes busy, then to release it I have to hit rls dst key. Is there a way to make the keypad send the numbers out? Have you noticed this problem in any other automated systems??
You phone has something called DTMF tones. That is what automated systems read when you press a key. Your phone has an off a short and a long option in your initial set up menu. It should be set to long to work in an automated system.
If sounds like DTMF is turned off on your phone. If it is then it is not sending the correct tone over the air which is why nothing happens.
Go into setting, then to initial setup and key down toward the bottom and you should see DTMF if it is off change it to short or long and that should correct you problem.

oh, and i forgot to add...pressing the # key did not work in my case.
