Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. Chris, Thanks for your response, however what I was asking about was basically setting the modem as a wireless access point only, not a router. I figured it out though in the same night I posted this question, I set it up as a bridge to my first router and changed the default IP for the router and the IP range to be contained within my first router's range, and voila it worked.

SOURCE: 2wire 2700hg-b wired router wont allow setup of Linksys WAP54G access point
the ip address of the 2wire router might be different from the ip address being used by the wap54g (ip address is 192.168.1.245 by default) that's why it's not being detected.
you need to directly connect the wap54g to a computer and set the computer to use a static ip address (ex. 192.168.1.240) and run the cd that came with the wap54g. you need to set the ip address of the wap54g to the same segment being used by your router to make them see each other
hope this'll help you and just ask me if you have other concern
ciao!

There should be a small reset pin hole in the back of the device. Hold down the reset button for 15 seconds and it should reset the router to factory defaults

I'm still fooling around with it, but what I did to restrict access from my kid's machineto the internet was, browse to the router config page, default for my Belkin router is http://192.168.2.1 . Click Access Control on the menu, enable it, enter a password (this is separate from your router admin password), click the "Add" button, chose the system I wanted to restrict, specify the days and time I wanted to restrict (though I would like more flexibility here to select more than one time range), on the Service tab, verified that "Block All Services" was selected, on the URL List tab, verified that "Block all URLs" was selected, then clicked the "Apply Changes" button.

Your PSP does not support the WPS feature on the Belkin router. The solution is to turn WPS off. WPS can be disabled in the configuration program for your router.
You do not need WPS it is simply a protocol to make conection to some modern devices simpler.
