Lights not working

While I was cleaning out the refrigerator I heard a pop and now neither of the lights at the top will turn on. I confirmed the bulbs are working in another appliance. the freezer light is still functional and there are no error codes on the panel

Maybe those light bulbs are not for a refrigerator appliance. Go to the local Home Depot and ask for refrigerator light blubs.

Either the door switch or the light socket is bad. Disconnect the refrigerator and pull the switch out and test it with an ohmmeter for continuity.

SOURCE: Refrigerator is not keeping food cold. Temp is set

Most refrigerators have the evaporator in the freezer and use air flow to cool down the refrigerator compartment. Can you tell if the defrost cycle is working, IS there ice on the evaporator. Can you defrost it. Try taking it off the power freeze cycle and also power cool cycle. When you cleaned underneath did you find a pan that had water in it. sometimes the drain clogs up and the condensate just sits in the freezer and refreezes the water, this acts like a blanket and slows down the cooling in the refrigerator. see if you can look at see if the drain is clogged, this may be your problem. You can get back to me and i will see if i can help you. thank you. and a rating would be helpful. thank you. wally

The lights will go off after a certain time period; that is built into the control. But if the lights never worked even after the door has been closed for a time, it is probably the light switch, which is in the "throat moulding" or "breaker strip", whatever you want to call it. That it the plastic strip surrounding the door when in the closed position. That should be under warranty.

Please check the door switch and the bulb holders, in some cases it can be due to loose connection or a faulty switch on the door, The failure of the bulb is another issue but the main subject is how you can check and remove the bulb.

Electric Dbl Wall Oven-loud popping noise at end of self clean

Bill ,i dont suspect the control unit is the problem im going back to the loud pop you heard I would say the pop you heard was one of the elemants blowing and that the reason the the breaker tripped if you say the clock, timer and light functon are ok it more so points to an elemant in most cases when an elemant blows it breaks the circuit .but the other componants also work when you reset the breaker i think in this case bill i would call a electrician it needs testing, sorry i could not help this time bill, but do not hesatate to contact me if i can help you again.adrian

Bake or broil does not work

if an element itself had shorted it would not stop the other from working and you could inspect each element and see blistering as evidence.the pop you heard has to be in common with both elements but not the cook top[burners]so thats going to be the wiring in the back of range, or switching,[thermostat, clock timer or oven selector switch, depends on which model you have]you will have to pull range and remove back pannels.you will find an obivous burn't connection.too repair all new connections must be clean and tight,or will burn again.

We tested the EOC and it will indeed need a replacement. Also, just a couple weeks prior we ran the "clean" mode on the oven as did another poster who experienced the "pop" and loss of the control board/oven function, but still had stove top function.
