Motorola razr V3m cellphone has a white screen

I just got my razr 5 months ago. my mom is an ebay freak, so she got it off of ebay (brand new) . but a little over a month ago, the screen started to go white. when that would happen, i would flip it shut, then open it, and the screen would be back to normal. then it started going white when i would have it open, and it would take a few times (flipping it open and shut) to get the screen back. now the screen isnt coming back at all. the only time it got dropped (thats what happens when you let ur 12 year old sister borrow your phone) was 2 months before the screen started going white. how can i fix my phone by myself? because i cant afford to take it in, and my parents cant either.
