Tv locked I have a Celera K12B-C11 tv. I went to go sit on my bed and sat on my remote by acccident. A green key came up on the screen which then turned to red. Now I have a black screen with a red key on the bottom left hand corner. I have sound to the tv , just no picture. None of the buttons work except for the on off button on the remote.

    what do you mean how many digits are needed? I cant see anything on the screen except for a red key. When i push the numbered buttons no numbers appear on the screen.

    I'm sorry I was just getting mad at the TV. I didn't mean to take it out on you. It's just been a bad weekend. I'm sorry again. However, I did get my Tv to unlock. I googled the problem,and after opening a lot of forums I found out how to do it. You hold the F button and the mute button down for 30 secs and it unlocks. Thank you for your help!

child lock is active. Unlock press function and then mute on remote. only way to do it.

MY TV HAVE LOCK UP
I just fixed my celera k12b-c11 tv. All you do is hold the f button and the mute button in for 3o seconds, and your tv will unlock itself.

Im guessing you have an Apex TV. So here it goes:

Answer:According to Apex, you can disable the parental lock using the following information.

  • If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired.

  • If your TV asks for a 4-digit code or password please enter 3308 or 6688 to unlock the screen or reset any preset rating levels.

  • If you have a GT2011J or GT2011S Television, hold the (Display) button for 10 seconds, it will unlock the screen. If password or code is requested, try 3308 or 6688.


One of the above methods should get you past the lock. If so, I would take the opportunity to disable the lock in the TV's menu so this doesn't happen again.

If this still doesn't work, you can call Apex Customer Support at (800)880-1227.
