1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type this in the run box: c:\Windows\System32\oeminfo.ini
Something like this should open in notebook:
[Version]
Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition
WinVer=5.01
[General]
Manufacturer=vpr Matrix ™
Model=Personal Computer
SupportURL=http://matrixsupport.net
LocalFile=c:\matrixsupport\file.html
[Support Information]
Line1=”Visit us online or call our toll-free Customer Support number 24/7!”
Line2=”http://www.vprmatrix.com”
Line3=”system properties, xp pro - cb_transparent_l.gifus.gifspace.gifarrow.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gif(800)332-4800cb_transparent_r.gif in the USA and Canada.”
Line4=”"
Although I wouldn’t play with anything under the version section, you can edit the information in the other sections. You can edit anything to the right of the = sign.
Save it before you exit notepad and you’ll be set.
You can also edit the bitmap that will be displayed on this screen by changing this file:
c:\Windows\System32\oemlogo.bmp
It must be 172 X 172 pixels in size.

Hello no1sugard, go to this "Website," and "Download the Updates" for Windows XP
(Service Pack 3)."
  • First make sure that you have [SP1 and SP2] already installed in your Computer?
  • To {check} which "Service Pack" you have already?
  • If not?
  • Then you must "Download SP1 and SP2 first!"
  • Open "the Computer Properties," by [Alt / Right] clicking on the Computer in the 'shortcut menu' of the "Start Menu."
If this information helped? Return and give a "Helpful Rating," please!

Hi There,

Windows Media Center Edition is exactly that; an "Edition" of XP Pro. If you go to My Computer and then click on System Properties, you will likely be comforted to see that you indeed have Windows Media Center Edition 2005.

You need to post the computer, posting what operating system you have does not help.

The drivers go by your motherboard and OS not just by the OS.

Your computer is Not a XP PRO SP3, this is an operating system not a computer.

A computer is a DELL, HP, or a REAL computer with a ASUS motherboard.

I am not able to run turbo c++ on my windows 7.it gives the error that "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running.check your computers system information to see...

Depending on your version of Win7 and your computer specs, you could try to run the software in the XP mode (Pro or Ultimate). This is a virtual machine and needs dedicated memory and does not directly share files or peripherals with the real machine. It has worked well on our machines for several older programs (Win2K and XP versions) - these were 32 bit programs and ran on a 64 bit Win7 Pro machine.

Running the program in the compatibility mode might work as well (right click, choose properties and then the compatibility tab).

I hope this helps.

System restore disable

Open your system properties. Check to make sure the system restore feature is enabled. I had to do this on my old computer as you have to tell the restore feature how much hdd space to dedicate to restore functions. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
