Dometic air conditioner

Hello.. We bought a 2000 Merhow Equistar horse trailer with living quarters.. in it, we have a Duo Therm Brisk Air Dometic air conditioner.... 1.does the air cond/AC all run off of electricity? 2. If we hook up AC from the house, do we have to unhook the battery and 3, does the hot water heater need water in it in order to light the heater? Thanks so much for your time.. we did not get any info manuals when we bought it..

Why is my Dometic Brisk Air air conditioner not working?

Sounds like the compressor is seized up and the smell is from the clutch slipping when it tries to engage. If that is the case, you need a new compressor at a minimum.

You will need at least a 5000 watt generator to run that and a few lights etc... for the camper.
